He's made himself a top 10 pick. He's wild, and he needs to do a better job of feeding his teammates once he gets to the NBA, and he's not a great jump shooter, but nobody that talented in college competes like he does. He's just 18 - the best is yet to come.

I'm a fan, but I don't think he's going to be a good player. Lots of Brandon Knight, both good and bad. He's a good athlete, but you really need unreal physical tools to be a good player with the way he plays. I could see him being Reggie Jackson, I could see him being Brandon Knight, I could not see him being Russell Westbrook. No feel in the halfcourt for a lead guard, and average skill level, but tough and relentless as they come.

The Milwaukee Bucks have no draft picks as of today and they just signed Brandon jennings and Shabazz Muhammad. Everthing is just fine. No really.

I did not expect this this year tbh. Maybe I should have expected it.

I have zero problems with Costa declaring but he shouldn't make a nba roster.

No agent yet so probably just testing the waters, see if anyone will guarantee him a first rounder salary

Yeah he should go back another year. I want to like him. I like his hesi dribble in the half court, his ability to get by the first defender and slow his dribble and get him on his hip while getting the rim defender to commit, but his vision isn’t great and I wonder about his bbiq. Not a good enough finisher at the rim to overcome his poor jumper. If he doesn’t get to the Spurs or the Jazz he probably ends up the next along the lines of an Elfrid, MCW, Knight, Jennings, Reggie Jax, etc

How **** depressing is it that we can't at least gaze at mock drafts and wonder who we may pick come June. At least in the past we had THAT. Most depressing season ever.

Yup.

I'm sure Giannis knows it's a business, but still. He's huge on loyalty. If the Bucks ended up cutting Kostas at some point, I could definitely see that factoring into Giannis' decision when his contract is up.

Eh, the keys would be communication and establishing a plan. He knows that his brother's development is his own responsibility, and he knows that the Bucks will give him every opportunity he earns, because he's seen both first hand.

I think first you'd have to get over the thing where Kostas was in and out of the rotation of a sub-.500 A10 team, though. He had some nice plays for Dayton, but Giannis was a better pro than Kostas is a college player at the same age.

I'm not sure Kostas is really even expecting to be drafted. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go back to Filathlitikos next year.

I'd be surprised if Kostas got any guarantee that made him enter, even overseas.

With only being one game away from the 6th seed (and keeping our pick) I wonder what you guys think about Malik Newman.

He was off my radar after his disappointing season at Mississippi State but he's been surging recently with big performances in the tournament. He's a former all-american and top 10 recruit and redshirted his sophomore year (transfer). So while he's still eligible to play two more years in college, he's sophomore-aged.

So based on his last performances, I watched a lot of film on him. At 6'4 he's an undersized 2-guard with at best average length. He has some passing and ball-handling skills but as of now, he's mostly a shooter on offense. He's excellent off the catch, has a quick release, gets good elevation and has shown NBA-range occasionally. He's very good at moving off the ball and getting himself open. When he does handle the ball, he's utilizing hang dribbles and crossovers. He can shoot of the dribble in a pinch but should mostly be used as a shooter in transition or off the catch.
If run off the 3-point line, he can attack closeouts with a great first step and attacks the rim all the way. His frame can absorb some contact and doesn't shy away from it anymore (other than at Mississippi) but he doesn't embrace the contact either and needs to do a better job at getting to the line (only 3.6 FTA per 40). He isn't that great of an athlete vertically so living at the line is going to be very important for his further potential. He also lacks an inbetween game other than the occasional pull-up, which makes his game very predictable once he starts driving.
On defense he lacks size and length for the 2-guard position. He has the ability to navigate through screens and moves his feet decently. He can read passing lanes but lacks the length to be truely disruptive. He lacks in strength to deal with bigger 2's but is surprisingly competitive. He's also a decent rebounder for his size.

All in all I see some CJ in him. He's not as skilled coming out, but a better athlete and rojects to be a better defender. He's probably most valued in a role that features him as an off-ball guard on offense but having to defend the 1-position. I'm not even sure he declares but if he does his draft stock could be very volatile. What do you guys think?
