This one I'd have preferred to Zeller. Not a big difference, though.

I've said this on rGM before, but Mudiay is a friend of a friend and he did not get along with Mike Malone at all and was not a fan of the city of Denver for a few reasons that I'm not gonna say (psudo)publicly. I'd expect him to show at least some improvement in a new environment.

Can we use trade exceptions on buy-out candidates?

no idea why i still want him so bad, but i think an energized Noel would be a fantastic fit

Maybe you just really like stupid basketball players...who knows

Energized? He’s the most out of shape player in the league (other than Teodosic)

This just in:

Below is the footage from Jameer Nelson's arrival on a cold and frigid day in Detroit. Nelson, in the foreground, appears to lose his footing on the icy tarmac while walking toward his introductory press conference - there is currently no word as to any potential injury for the once chiseled vet as some in the organization fear he may have damaged his left knee during the fall. MRI results are still inconclusive. Coach Stan Van Gundy, waddling toward a championship, was not available for comment. The press conference was cancelled.

I really don't see what's so bad about the Lakers trade either. Obviously it was part of this overall move so it should be viewed in the grander view.

But even just individually I think it's fine. But again I'm seriously down on IT. He's basically been terrible this year and they have to win now. You traded two guys who shouldn't be on an NBA floor right now for two competent players who are both young and the 1st will be 25th or worse. I guess if you're clinging to IT somehow fixing himself after that bad of an injury at 29 yrs old then you might not. But he's been a problem in the locker room, hasn't been good, has been laughably terrible on D and he's gone after the year anyway. And they've seen him close up, they probably think the chances of him being what he was are very low. Remember they saw those medicals and didn't want to the deal. Trade makes sense to me.

No. They had to add a 2nd in order to make that swap.

I think punting on players in rookie deals is perfectly ok if a guy just isn't improving the way the team wanted/expected.

But trading a mid 2nd for Harris alone is dicey. Which means they wanted off Mudiaye so badly it was a salary dump. And that's just mean.
