Yeah, even if they offer everything imaginable it would not qualify as a tsunami offer IMO.

Gimme OG instead of KAT. Not that I’d want to do it anyway, but KAT blows. If I’ve gotta watch KAT next year I’m only going to like the bucks ironically from now on.

Nothing I’d want (at all) from the Knicks in the event he’s traded. Picks, picks, picks.

If he actually wants to go there badly to play with Kidd, tough ****. You rebuild with a million lottery picks and young players. Knicks are not the trading partner. Do right by yourselves.
Go Bucks!

Justin Garcia has been talking up how the 2031 1st is "the most valuable trade asset on the market" ever since the season ended. Don't know if I necessarily agree with him, but this doesn't seem like a coincidence.

Idk why people keep clamouring for the 31 pick being so valuable. It's 6 seasons away, even if we did trade Giannis they might not even be a lottery team by then. So far out it's such a crapshoot. I think we need to stop over valuing that pick

Not really the point though. I think everyone should agree that it's a decently valuable asset, but the worry is that the organization is just gonna toss it at whatever half-way decent starting caliber guard or wing and be confident that's our "big move" to get Giannis to sign the next extension 16-months from now. While I wouldn't call Garcia an outright mouthpiece for the front office, he's been leaving bread crumbs to hint at what our offseason is probably gonna look like (he pushed back almost immediately on the idea that Doc wouldn't be back next season), and it certainly jives with the most uninspiring scenario that I unfortunately think is the most likely.

I understand that, but our assets are pretty horrible and people are making it sound like we will get a sure lock long term guy for a pick 6 years away. Temper expectations, figured we would be used to that now as Bucks fans. You're not getting anything GREAT with that pick. So you either get a decent starter with upside or package it and hope for more or hold on to it.

Gery sucks. Now my "For You" page is filled with a bunch of dumbass Knicks and NBA fans with their fleecing offers for Giannis. Last offer I saw was Kat, Kolek, McBride and 2 2nds... almost punched my monitor.

I hate Gery as much as the next but wasn't he pretty quick on the Kuzma trade? Like a day or two prior?

Gery is a broken clock

It was just weeks ago Gery said we were set to work out players expected in the top 8 of draft. We haven't even worked out a single player that will go in the top 8 of round 2.

I think he tried to backtrack and said Giannis probably won’t get traded and we’d trade 31 pick for 1sts this year.

The pick being 6 years away is part of what makes it so valuable. Teams don't want picks now, they want longterm currency.

Teams figure in 6 years we have 36 year old Giannis or if he was traded/left we would be in a 30 year rebuild. It will likely be a good pick.

Pincus off the top rope with the worst and most insulting return for the Bucks yet:

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25202304-4-team-14-player-blockbuster-trade-land-giannis-rumored-suitor

It's very funny that he won't put Barnes in, but it's VERY funny that he put protections on the 2032 pick. Knicks didn't even get that for Bridges.

100% chance Giannis is a Buck opening night

I think Giannis just enjoys trolling the national sports media. That's why he hasn't come out and said anything. I can see Giannis sitting there with a huge grin on his face as Blowhards like Windhorst trip over themselves all summer in an effort to speak Giannis leaving Milwaukee into existence.

Giannis is going to wait until the last minute and let the national media make clowns of themselves for awhile.

All the more reason to love Giannis. But I get how Giannis not saying anything makes Bucks fan nervous.

That's partly true besides for the fact most of the GMs aren't guaranteed to be around in another 6 years. That right there devalues the pick because guys won't be around to see it through. Most teams won't give away great assets for that but I could see us landing a couple firsts in exchange for it. If we could have traded it for a shot in the lottery before the draft that would have been nice
