Like I've seen their assets. Isn't that an oxymoron?

Yeah, even if they offer everything imaginable it would not qualify as a tsunami offer IMO.RRyder823 wrote:My favorite part is " Knicks are preparing tsunami like offer"El Pooch Grande wrote:So Gery is stirring the pot yet again

Not really the point though. I think everyone should agree that it's a decently valuable asset, but the worry is that the organization is just gonna toss it at whatever half-way decent starting caliber guard or wing and be confident that's our "big move" to get Giannis to sign the next extension 16-months from now. While I wouldn't call Garcia an outright mouthpiece for the front office, he's been leaving bread crumbs to hint at what our offseason is probably gonna look like (he pushed back almost immediately on the idea that Doc wouldn't be back next season), and it certainly jives with the most uninspiring scenario that I unfortunately think is the most likely.

It was just weeks ago Gery said we were set to work out players expected in the top 8 of draft. We haven't even worked out a single player that will go in the top 8 of round 2.

The pick being 6 years away is part of what makes it so valuable. Teams don't want picks now, they want longterm currency.
