The guy can shoot.

But seriously, his hands are pretty small.

Again, this kid grew up in Perth. He might as well have grown up in Milwaukee. If he'd seriously graduated in 2011 not only would thousands of school mates and local kids have known him, but he'd have gone through the entire Australian state and national junior programs at that age, remembering that he's been a precocious junior talent. There'd be tens of thousands of people worldwide who knew with absolute certainty that he was 4 years older, remembering again that sites like DX have been projecting him at the top of future drafts for 3 years.

Now the suggestion, that as far as I can tell isn't being made, that someone may have fudged his age when he was 5 is VERY different to saying a very well known basketball phenom in an open western society graduated in 2011 before deciding to jump in the Delorian for 4 years and hope no one would notice.

I honestly don't know the specifics of the accusation but doesn't that work both ways? Why is there any question if it is so easy to disprove?

Because people like you are easily convinced by a reddit post?

Love the pick because it means Hammond made it. His pressed was the most energetic and commanding I've ever seen from him. Hammond is in charge right now.

I've got to admit, he sounds very polished. He's wise beyond his listed years.

You know when you were in grade school, and you wrote down what you wanted to be when you grew up? I put "carnie". No lie.

Yeah, I had big dreams.

I put down "carnival ride running person." I couldn't even use the proper vocabulary. I think I was closer to achieving that dream than you.

I will root for Thon. Very skeptical of the pick, but he really is an easy guy to like. THAT he does have in common with Giannis.

I will be incredibly interested in how he shows up in Summer League. He hasn't seen real competition, and it will be a huge showcase for him.

My supposed ego has jack to do with this. You're making it a question of credibility on flimsy appeals to authority (of a guy who got his job off cronyism, his name as a player, and made every mistake he could last offseason) so I responded about my track record on Bucks' picks. The proof is in the pudding. I reacted the same way in the past because I was disappointed as a fan about our pick, got the predictable backlash from homers and others who liked the guy, but my frustration almost always proved to have just cause in time. And there's bad and good. Maybe you'd appreciate it if I spoke positively if I liked the guy. Or be fine with it if I was neutral or admitted ignorance about a player, as I'd do to if that were the reality. You're doing a lot of projecting here. It sounds like I shook your fragile ego because you liked the guy beforehand or you derive value out of how the team does.

Actually I've been making 24 year old jokes all night, you're just one of the insufferable people on this forum who have these stupidly strong opinions based on literally nothing. You've probably watched 2 minutes of footage on him but you're so damn sure he is the worst pick ever. And then you point to some track record of arm chair quarterbacking as if anyone cares enough to keep score for you, your opinion is as baseless and worthless as anyone's.

Thon, Jabari, and Giannis are some good kids to put your trust into personality wise
