This. Having an offensive liability in today's game is just too much to overcome in my opinion. Think DeAndre, Roberson, MCW. I shy away from players like that, mostly because it frustrates the hell out of me.

While it's true that the only thing DeAndre Jordan can do is dunk, he's far from an offensive liability.

They need to trade one of Smart/AB/Crowder to make cap space for Hayward. So they aren't taking back salary; they are just trying to get the best draft pick value possible. The salary difference is 4.9M , right about Smart's salary.

It is not legal (I believe). They have changed the rules on them to a small degree and I can't get clarification on something but it does not work on ESPN trade and I don't believe it works via CBA (but not 100%).
