Early thrones getting underrated now?

A show I've burnt through over the last week or two has been Black Sails. Took me long enough but I respect the praise it got from the people who did watch it back when it was on. Legit great show.

A lot of talent in front of and behind the camera. Meh results.
Yeah it's crazy it's not better with the cast the assembled. I agree with 'meh' it's not awful but it's not good either. I'm a few episodes in and not sure I'm going to continue.

I thought Avenue 5 was better.

Nope. I was/am a huge seasons 1-4 stan. TLK is that good, IMO. I'm a big medieval historical fiction guy though too.

Sorry, I should probably find a different route for this answer. But where/how are you watching Black Sails? Thanks

Definitely my favorite show on Netflix, it was great.

I recently started Vikings, it's really good as well. I just realized they had it on Hulu, I've been wanting to watch it for some time.

It's on Hulu or with a subscription to Starz.

Not a lot of TV going on, I might watch the series for the fourth or fifth time. It's so good.

Vikings is solid. I was at a time watching both shows simultaneously, which got pretty confusing at times. :D

Cool that one show is more the Wessex POV and the other from the Viking POV. I like TLK way more, but both are good.

I enjoy Vikings, have watched it from the start. There are 10 episodes left. To be broadcast sometime this year but I don't know if they've been filmed yet so who knows when they will air.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I happen to be rewatching Curb from the beginning for the first time in forever. Still ridiculously good and worth it if you've liked that show. Just got to when the Blacks come in with JB.

Also, if you remember the most recent season where they make a joke on Jeff looking like Weinstein and all that. In the season 1 finale Jeff basically pulls a Weinstein on a young aspiring actress and they kind of joke about that type of thing. How times have changed in 20 years.

JB was a great addition, I'm glad they kept him around.

I'm in pretty close to the same spot on the rewatch as well. The Tourette's Syndrome episode makes me piss my pants everytime.

HBO's Perry Mason debuts 6/21. Matthew Rhys (terrific in The Americans), John Lithgow, Stephen Root. I'm in.

8 episodes. Being described as a mini series so I think it's one season and done but who knows.

My favorite was "He Wizards Me Not"

I realize that's from the Spelldancer Trilogy but same author.

Yes! Anything Bernard Cornwell is fantastic. So much source material for potential TV adaptations.

Have you watched The Last Kingdom? Does right by The Saxon Stories, IMO.

I'm not as much of a fan of the work Dave Chappelle has put out recently, but his classic show is still hilarious to me. That period of time with Killin Them Softly, Chappelle Show, and For What It's Worth was a HOF level run for a comedian.

And so I find myself roaring when I watch gems like this on YouTube:

Plus, the beat still slaps.
