Obviously winning a title is the holy grail over any individual awards but I lol at how complacent some are on this board.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

This is a scolding I can get behind. Look at the best player on Bucks teams throughout your lifetime. For many of us the list is pretty sad. Having a consecutive MVP is awesome.

Is it complacency or misery?

Consecutive MVP winners:

Russell
Wilt
Kareem
Malone
Bird
Magic
Duncan
Nash
LeBron
Curry
Giannis

Winning MVP and DPOY award the same season:

Jordan
Olajuwon
Giannis

But yeah, "meh".

If this Bucks team makes anyone miserable maybe they need to look back at 17 years between winning a playoff series (in a league where over half the teams make the playoffs). We're contenders now and we'll be contenders as long as Giannis is on the team. I was disappointed the past 2 post seasons but certainly not miserable. Certainly some are always miserable (and I'm not speaking about you, I have no idea if you're miserable or not :) ).

You easy to please simpletons are playing right into Silver's hands. I won't be able to be happy until Giannis wins 2 MVPs in the same season. Until then, he's just an overrated scrub.

I think Bucks fans have been conditioned to be masochists at this stage. Maybe Wisconsin sports in general. I'm not one of those, I thoroughly enjoy having an all time great as opposed to watching treadmill teams of the last two decades. It's a once in a generation event for a franchise.

There was a time when we would’ve all absolutely lost our **** if Andrew Bogut made ONE all star team.

The last two years, besides the obvious end of the season, have been the two most fun years of Bucks basketball in my adult life.

Bucks fans should absolutely bask in this success we've had and recognize how far the organization has come.

Now, just need to retool and figure out how to get over the hump

If Giannis put up this season in LA he'd be the unanimous MVP. Best PER of all time and defensive player of the year on the team with the best record. It goes to show how much of a joke media voting on MVP really is.

I guess it all comes down to expectations with respect to winning a championship. For instance, I was a lot more excited when Yount won his AL MVP back in 1989 when the Brewers finished at .500 than when he won the MVP in 1982 with much better stats. The 7-game World Series loss to the Cardinals soured everything for me. In contrast, in 1989 I was just happy that a Brewer received recognition after a very mediocre season.

Congratulations to Giannis for a 2nd consecutive MVP. Considering he was a 'shot in the dark' pick and many thought he would never pan out or was a huge development project with 6th man at best promise, this is quite impressive. I never thought I'd see a Bucks player considered for MVP and he did it two years straight.

Now, get the man a running mate that can help break through the playoff predicament.
