I still don't think it's bad if it takes DEC until this team gels. I'm not worried about losing #1 seed in November. Bucks with Giannis who's still a cheat code is going to win some games just be because...Giannis. There will be some Ugly wins, some ugly losses, and some blowouts. So it's not like Bucks will be at the bottom of the conference. Hopefully by Dec this team will start playing up to it's potential.

bottom line we lost two out of 5 starters including our all star pg....add a rookie coach the dudes picked... and a dame that has looked washed af in the first two appearances.

count me in the group that says concerned isnt odd. i dont want to undo the trade...but to me not being concerned until we look strapped af regular season is whats odd.

im prepared for the worst despite the "obvious upgrade on paper". its what im supposed to do on a message forum. being a life long bucks fan doesnt help practically with that either. its not like the standard is 50 wins a season and 2nd round right now. were playing for a championship and theres other really good teams in this league besides us "on paper". were allowed to wonder wtf is hppening when we look like ass

They got smoked because their two best players no showed for the series. One partially because of injury, the other because of an utter refusal to play within himself.

They won't win 70. I don't care if they win 70. I want them cooking and healthy in April, just like they were last year.

The only low IQ thing about Giannis is his shot selection of jumpshots and fadeaways and this is not because he doesn't know that it's a bad shot but mainly because he works hard for this and that if he somehow becomes consistently decent at it he will extend his career even farther than normal. He talked about this plenty of times.
Giannis is special. He can't become a Deantre Jordan type of player all of a sudden. He is top 5 in creating open shots for his teammates for 5-6 seasons in a row.

You give him the ball and instantly everyone is a missmatch 1v1 against him so they need to form the wall and leave their men open. The only reason it didn't work as well in the playoffs is because we forget how to hit our open shots and we always had a Bledsoe or a Jrue to screw our spacing completely against Miami and Boston.

Now with Dame it will be different once he gets hit legs back but it doesn't mean that Giannis shouldn't handle the ball at all. If a team is dumb enough not to form a wall against him you simply give the ball to Giannis and let him solo them until they change their mind. The only one who shouldn't run the point anymore, since Jrue who was also terrible is gone now, is Khris who is very inconsistent with his passes and he has terrible handles. Dame, Giannis and Payne. That's it from now on.

outside of the championship theres been multiple reason why we get smoked. with the current coaching turmoil and roster upheaval i think it makes for good forum discussion to share our thoughts.... that should be both excitement and a balance of concern
