Bucks ranked 20th in pick and roll - roll man efficiency last season. Samuel Dalembert ranked 13th among players with 1.21 PTS/Possession

Go watch Goran Drajic run the pick and roll and you will realize why it worked.

BUT MONTA ELLIS IS SUCH A GOOD PICK AND ROLL PLAYER!!!!!1!!11!!!

That looks to be a not awful trade. I'm confused.

A mid-level move that may have better than mid-level consequences. Will likely help the team's fit. Good fit makes the individuals better.

I assume that there are at least 14 players the Bucks would like to have. If so, dropping 2 slots matters little.

Agreed. Dalembert gives us the potential of having a good defense next year, as opposed to a putrid one again.

That was essential if we really expected to win now with a BJ / Ellis backcourt.

And regardless of that, if another move is coming up, it will be made in the context of how we no longer have a gaping wound of a hole at center.

we should be able to find better ways to spend ersans money with the lineup we have on this team now. id rather go get a guy like carl landry as far as fit goes with the the other bodies we could put around him.

Carl Landry just isn't good.

We don't need another PF if we intend to play Moute at some point. We have 5 bigs: Dalembert, Sanders, Udoh, Gooden, Moute. I think Hammond will be able to find much better value for a 6th big for a small contract to round out the depth if he feels the need. I'd be exploring the Ds or an undrafted player or something along those lines.

Does anyone have a free agent list? Crazy that free agency starts a few days after the draft tomorrow.

Can we just unload Skiles to the Magic and get Jerry Sloan here??? I'd welcome that change before I even begin breaking the roster down.

This is what scares me the most ... we draft or bring in players that fit Skiles and only Skiles, and then he'll be gone in a year, along with Hammond, and my fear is that all the pieces will fit worse than they do now.

I will laugh if we pick Zeller or Meyers. This board will go nuts.

I like this trade, although I'm a big Leuer fan.

Meh trade. Dal was a Bogut killer. We always go after the guys that shat upon us.

Oh it will be too much to resist for Hammond

Ross will go a pick or before us and this board will riot

I got on the tank and I'm not abandoning it for Hammonds' patented band aid move that inevitably blows up in his face once again.

While it is a step step move, it is an upgrade and a good trade. (Although, if we draft one of the big men linked to us, it is no longer a good trade)

There really is no difference between 12 and 14 in terms of who we are interested in. Dalembert ensures we see no more Gooden at C and we probably wont draft a C along with him being a valuable expiring. The only the negative is losing Leuer, but that is a minimal move. Hopefully MTC.

Oh and btw, can we get Gooden off this team already. Rotations would be so easy to set up and we dont have to hear about his outlet passes anymore among other things. I look forward to seeing Dally/Sanders and some Udoh doing some calculus as the center.

While I basically agree, I also suspect I might like Ersan better at PF if Dalembert was beside him. I view Illy as an incomplete PF and wonder if Dal (what will be his nickname?) would be a help.

Maybe what it does is give us flexibility in various options. Remove some of the pressure to re-sign Ersan to too big a contract. Consider Landry and others. Consider giving more time to Udoh and Sanders.

If we don't resign Ersan, I'd hope / expect us to acquire at least one other starting caliber player at one of the forward spots at least.

I really can't see that happening, but it does make me nervous if Leonard drops. I can just imagine Hammond hearing Chad Ford (I think it was) saying how Leonard is the best C prospect in the draft, even better than Drummond, and drafting him.

Again, I highly doubt they draft Leonard/Zeller/Henson, but it is something you can't put past Hammond.
