if he can nail 3 pointers that will be huge, but there is only enough usage to go around when jabari is back and the monroe addition i don't see him scoring too much more.. 15-16 hopefully

If Giannis starting knocking them i don't see why the team will stop him from doing it.
There is enough time until jabari comes but even then they can share the attempts depending on how good each of them play at the game.
Monroe will pass a lot and i doubt he will take more attempts than Zaza,we will see but man im excited for the Bucks and Greece.

He'll definitely average at LEAST 17 PPG imo. Not really worried about usage or anything like that, Kidd will notice how much better he's gotten on the offensive end and take advantage of him now hitting 3's and being able to get to the line with ease.

Great players demand the ball and have a high usage, regardless of who is on their team. If Giannis is ever gonna be a 20 PPG player that we all want him to be he is gonna have to take the game into his hands more often. I have no doubt he can do this as I expect him to be great.

Did he make any of his 3's from the corner today? He looks pretty comfortable shooting the corner 3 already. Giannis seems to be way ahead of schedule in the shooting department if he is already knocking down 3's at a decent clip. Exciting stuff

2 of them were surely form corner, cant remember about the last one but yeah, he looks comfortable and now he shoots even more which will help his confidence.
Honestly, cant you guys see the highlights, you will love it.

People worry way too much about usage %. Giannis and Jabari are going to get plenty of opportunities and will be the #1 and #2 options on offense if their skills develop as expected. If they don't develop, then they don't deserve to be the primary focus of the offense anyways.

It's like someone back in 2008 saying: "I worry that Earl Watson and Nick Collison will cut into Kevin Durant's touches".....

agreed on Giannis scoring not exploding

PTS per game
2013 - 6.8
2014 - 12.7
2015 - 14

REBs
2013 - 4.4
2014 - 6.7
2015 - 7.5

ASTs
2013 - 1.9
2014 - 2.6
2015 - 3.2

BLKs
2013 - .8
2014 - 1.0
2015 - 1.4

FT%
2013 - .683
2014 - .741
2015 - .790 this is really important imo. if he can get here or better, it will make his PPGz easier and higher. i believe he will be going to the line way more often this coming season.
FTA
2013 - 2.6
2014 - 4.3
2015 - 6.0

14/7.5/3.2/1.4
with very good FG% and FT%
any progress with his 3pt % is a bonus to me

Monroe and Jabari kind of block Giannis from getting higher pts and rebs
but this slow progression imo, is very good
his FG%, FT%, Blks, defensive effort/abilities, makes him a solid starter
and hes only 21years old

Giannis averaging 14 a game would pretty disappointing, especially after him saying we can expect "more buckets" from him this year. I think he'll be more aggressive and looking to up his usage quite a bit, and his teammates will recognize him as a good scoring option.

Caught the last one, he took it away from the left baseline. So that was probably his only non-corner three. What I caught (very little) in the second half was impressive.

Actually, he had one from the corner, one from the top of the key and one from the left hand side. He also missed a three from the top of the key and another one (rimmed out) from the corner. He also had a couple of awesome blocks and a steal.

Also, people expecting Giannis to actually be worse than his post-All star numbers are super.

14pts is not a disappointment imo
i expect all 5 starters to score in the teens

mcw 14
midd 15
ga 14
jp 15
mon 17

75pts from starters on average
20pts from the bench and we should win or make it close
26pts or more + our D we will win more games

i see all of the starters averages go up, except for mcw
he should have 4 options to go to
and he shouldnt be shooting more
so he will have to have better %s in order to average more pts
probably from 3, is his best route

If Giannis doesn't score 69 points a game from next season I will be disappoint.

Giannis, Parker and Monroe are all good passers. Middleton's not bad either.

If any of them take off as a scorer it'll help everyone else.

If he is getting 14ppg and shooting 6 FTG (up from his 4.3) a game we should be happy.

Giannis averaged 16.3 PPG in March last season and 14.1 in February. He is more than capable of 14 PPG and I think if he has the green light to shoot from outside, only 16 PPG would be fairly disappointing, especially if somebody other than Jabari was crowding him out.

Yes, there is only so much usage to go around, but Giannis really wasn't featured all that much last season. I think the team's lack of depth at PF means that Giannis almost has to be played at PF and that means his usage should go up. As long as Giannis isn't in the corner, I am happy. Last season, Ersan was involved in a lot of pick-and-pop. If Giannis can now be the screener on such plays, he will definitely be more involved in the offense. If Giannis plays full-time at PF next season, I would expect no fewer than 16 PPG.

Giannis is the last Buck I want seeing his usage get pinched. And it will have to get pinched to keep him from scoring more than 14 PPG. MCW should be lower usage next season. Even Middleton should send more time on the weakside next season, as his spacing is more important to the team than his playmaking/scoring, since Giannis, Monroe, MCW and Jabari can all replace Middleton's strongside scoring more than they can replace his floor spacing ability.

Honestly, I don't think 16 PPG is unrealistic for Giannis next season and I want to see at least that many from him. I think playing him at PF and giving him a green light on jump shots, including threes, for the entire season will really help him score more. As will him just improving and getting better at creating his shot and avoiding TOs.
