Not that impressive. Once the Bucks knew they'd be on the hook for any overages, any chance of a truly spectacular design went out the window. The cheaper the better from their viewpoint. Looks like a cookie cutter design.

Looks like Donald Trump's wig. Is that what we are going for? At least it's topical.

You clearly don't understand the meaning of 'cookie cutter.' There are gripes one can have with the design, but the images clearly depict a one-of-a-kind building.

Personally, I think it looks pretty interesting. Not sold on the rusted exterior but the lobby looks awesome.

Interesting. It will be 25 feet shorter than the BC.

Not hating it. At least it's not a space ship. Big sigh of relief.

I like it. Little bit different, but it doesn't look like your normal arena. The interior looks exceptional.

It's different. I like it. It's not your 'stock standard' stadium design. Still want to see the old Mecca floor incorporated inside somehow.

The design of the roof may grow on me, but I'm not too excited about the renderings. Looks underwhelming on the outside. The "small" entrance on 6th street looks horrible. Like an office building.

But the lobby renderings look amazing, and the actual court, so much better than the BC.

Woof. Not my cup of tea. Though admittedly I don't love asymmetric design. Just personal preference. This will be like a block away from old world 3rd street. It'll stick out like a sore thumb imo.

I think while the design and the shape is certainly not cookie-cutter, the materials look like it. If any of you are house shopping or watching "flip=shows" the style and building materials do convey that sensibility of style. I'm a bit worried that it looks contemporary now, but could look really dated in 30 years.

One thing that catches me a bit off guard is that the arena looks more bulbous as compared to the sneak photos we've seen in the past. The curved edge bends out way more than I thought it would, making it contrast more with the boxiness with the other parts. To me this doesn't work. I loved the more angular original designs. It felt like modern European and Scandinavian atmosphere, angular in appearance, kind of like the exterior of Target field, but much better.

Anyway, I'm still excited for it, just kind of taken off guard comparing these pics to the originals. Also, they totally got the shades of green wrong on the fan's jerseys :).

It's certainly not "cookie cutter". That's a ridiculous assessment. It's interesting that they started doing drawings with the "wave" theme when they were trying to obtain the JS site and build on the river. When they moved to the current site they kept it.

"We think there's beauty to the region and water is a big part of that," Clark said, adding that they also wanted to emphasize Milwaukee's industrial grit. "We know that's important to your community."

What's important to our community? Water? Grit? If this was being built on water maybe this design would make more sense. But it's not.

Points for doing something different. Hopefully it looks a lot better when it's actually built.

I want to see more. I don't understand why this takes so long. It's your job to create a stadium, **** draw the **** up already and start building it!

I wonder how many other arenas have to be completely built above ground level.

The article explains why it took so long to get the drawings out. They must have waited on geological or engineering reports since they had to change from a below grade to an above ground build since the water table is shallow.

"Proximity to the water table prevented the below-grade approach. "It was a multi-multimillion dollar challenge," Clark said. Still, the arena will be shorter by about 25 feet than its predecessor, the BMO Harris Bradley Center."

The more I look at this and think about it the more it pisses me off. You're building something brand **** new and are intentionally making it look like it's a piece of crap pile of rust that's been around for 100 years and been abandoned for 50. Nothing says rust belt like adding a bunch of **** that makes a brand new building look like it's covered in rust.

This is exactly why I wanted something modern and not old school because we get dipshits who go all the way over to industrial and we end up with this steaming pile of ****.
