Yep. It's inevitable. I think Pop could get Monta Ellis to buy in at this point. Haha, just kidding.

It's shocking yes but kind of refreshing to see an old dude go **** it I'm taking the money.

You're right! Definitely can't see no difference between us and those two franchises.

It's never about that though. It's ALWAYS about the player. Post after post after post after post. "Only the Bucks would..."
Until, of course, a respected franchise signs the guy. Then... crickets.

You just never know how a guy will respond to a new team, coach, teammates, situation. (See Beasley, Mike)

Man, do the Kings know they have their own pick next year?

Good franchises with great cultures can take short term risks on risky guys while bad franchises get condemned. First I''m hearing of this.

I was going to say the same thing. They could have had a nice little tank/developing team with some good young prospects. Adding Hill, Carter and Randolph won't make them playoff bound, but maybe pushes them out of the top 5-8 in the lottery.

What it should have been:
Fox
Hield
Jackson
Labissiere
Cauley-Stein

What it likely will be:
Hill
Hield
Carter
Randolph
Cauley-Stein

Carter is going to start at 40+? Don't think so.

Nah, Stephen Jackson on the Spurs is the same as Stephen Jackson on the Bucks. Monta Ellis on the Bucks is the same as Monta Ellis on the Mavs. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Bad franchises like the bucks give them longer deals with no carrot of success. That's the difference.

The biggest difference is usually good franchises with good coaching and good personnel can reel in a players talents and use them to the best ability to help a team.

The Milwaukee **** Bucks have a hard time doing that with their All-NBA talent.

The three vets the Kings signed are all hard working guys you want to have around your youngsters. I really like the moves Vlade is making.

And I think we're overrating McGee's stay at the Warriors. It seems because he wasn't a complete moron on the court like with other teams that he's somehow morphed into a good player. He played 9 mins a game and was a positive for them without being an integral piece.

Stephen Jackson on the Spurs the first go around was a hell of a player. Tim Duncan said he is his favorite teammate of all-time. His second go around didn't work as well, but at that point he was just old and washed up.

And the Warriors gave him a non guaranteed training camp tryout. Big difference to paying him $10 million or something.

Yeah because they sign them mid year or to bargain 1/2 year deals. That my point, of Milwaukee signs jax to a 3/30 deal or whatever the **** it was he knows we will suck and he'll just cash in. Those dudes who could come good would only come to us for way over what they are worth which is exactly why we should stay the hell away from them.

Because you say so?

Carter started for a playoff team in the Grizzlies just last season. Not entirely out of the realm of possibility, especially with Joerger coaching, who is very familiar with Carter and Randolph from his Memphis days.

No, just think they would rather play younger talent. I believe VC will play a minimal bench role, maybe 15 minutes a night and will be transitioning into a coaching/mentoring role with a younger squad. I think it was a smart signing by the kings but I don't at all think it was to be a starter or major minutes player.
