So, Giannis' doctor in Greece is a colleague of one of my friends.

1)He doesn't trust the Bucks doctors, and brings his own from Greece at his own expense for 2nd opinions.
2)All summer he was treating his shoulder, knee, and ankle/lower leg that were in pretty bad condition due to wear and tear.
3)He claims that he wants to play all 82 games this year (...).

I think Giannis strategically used the F word talking about the next extension. His New York Times interview last month garnered a lot of press, with quotes and summations repeated ad nauseam. Stating that he will sign an extension next year, not this year would be reported somewhat, but inserting the F word assures more tweets and retweets than ever. And in the process, he tamps down many of the questions he will face this season about where he will be playing in 2025-26.
