Wowza. I mean it make sense from the 'we have to resign Giannis' standpoint - and we succeeded there - but wish we would have gone with almost literally anyone else, then

Here's my official take:
1) It had to be done and I'm sure the owners are behind it.
2) No to Doc Rivers.
3) No To Bud. He wore out his welcome and was consistently robotic during the playoffs in his schemes, no matter who the opponent was. So stop it please. It's annoying. Let's be real.
4) I'm in no hurry to get a new coach unless it's someone not already mentioned. I am really curious to see if and how Prunty changes the defense. I assume he knows what the players would like, so that's a start. They should know more about the schemes they are best at than choosing a coach.
In the old days I'd wake up to a 60 page thread! I really wish we'd got Nurse in the first place...

Finally! Also it same breath NO! Do not Rivers at all…not an upgrade by any means…shoot, bring in VG for r Marc Jackson before Rivers. Yuck. Hope Stotts and honestly would rather have Bud come back…don’t remember Bud talking about the exit but maybe it was mutual since he was morning and wanted time away. Hope Stotts!
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

GTFO with this take. They have gotten a generational superstar to extend twice. They pulled off the Dame trade completely out of the blue, with no leaks. They won a title. They pay loads of luxury tax. Only weakness seems to be drafting.

My favorite non-UW college coach and program. I'm not sure I want to go with an NBA rookie, even with his overall head coaching experience, but man do I love me some Jay Wright.

Re: Griffin fired!-Prunty interim
Stein's piece kinda sums it up, and confirms speculation on this board - Giannis squashed Nurse's chances here, FO wasn't confident in Griffin, Stotts was brought in basically as a backup HC for if/when they fired Griffin, and it would've happened earlier if Stotts was still around.

This is a **** layup. Just hire Kenny, the man is competent. He'll set up the D and we're a guard away from a title.

I wonder if the death of Milojevic would affect the Bucks going after Atkinson?
Seems insensitive to hire away a coach under that timeframe. I realize it is a business, but.
Feel bad for Griffin. With the death of his grandson, then getting fired in his first head coach job, that is a brutal several months.

Re: Griffin fired!-Prunty interim
I very much doubt Giannis would have refused to play for Nurse, what has he done besides defend him well in the playoffs? I think most of the people who wanted Bud fired wouldn't have been so comfortable doing so if they didn't think Nurse was the obvious replacement.

Re: Griffin fired!-Prunty interim
I have definitely enjoyed joining in over the years on The Rivers blowing playoff leads fun, But I also feel that way about Chris Paul, and his playoff availability, Harden when the chips are down, Embiid wearing down later in the playoffs, Ben Simmons as a basketball player past his meltdown, so severe he needed a year to be mentally ready to play if that is what he is doing now, is he I don't even know. Rivers definitely presided over some teams that blew leads, but these guys that have led those playoff teams have disappointed everywhere to date. Not sure anymore if it is the chicken or the egg.
