Underrated feature of modern gaming: remote storage management. There's been a few times when I've been at work and wanted to install a new purchase on the Xbox or Playstation. Just now I freed up space by deleting an old game, and one-button click later installed a new game. It'll be ready by the time I'm home later. So nice.

Personally, I think it is a far superior game to Satisfactory.... Although both are great.

Factorio was not for me, but I get the sentiment and I know that game totally clicks for a lot of people. Satisfactory has a lot of the same notes for me that Cities Skylines does that make me love it so much: I get to make things pretty (and Satisfactory is gorgeous), and it's super chill (no base defense aspects Factorio has). No stress, no time urgency. Exploring is a blast too.

I was definitely not thinking of Satisfactory when I made my initial comment. I have no idea what game I was thinking of... maybe shapez?

I bought satisfactory and I've just unlocked coal. I am such a newb.

Read on Twitter

If you thought you’d buy a new copy of Horizon Zero Dawn on Sony’s digital storefront for a smooth $20 and just pay an extra $10 for the new remastered version when it arrives on October 31st, think again. Sony has quietly doubled the price of Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition on the PlayStation Store.

While Sony has long sold the game for $20 online — as far back as 2018, it seems — it upped that price to $40 on September 25th, just one day after announcing the new remastered game. The changes were spotted by GamePittReviews.

LOL **** off, Sony.

What zone did you start in? I'm in the recommended newbie one. I just finished my first coal factory last night with 8 burners. I have a pretty detailed iron factory (not getting enough iron for full efficiency, but it works!), and a basic copper factory which I converted from my original flat layout I used just to get started. The iron factory took me the longest. I'm producing screws, RIPs, rotors, modular frames, and smart plates all for storage, and several other things just as components. I thought my brain had broken about a dozen times while constructing it.

Having everything connected to a continuous energy source is SO NICE.

I went with the newb zone.

Unlocked blueprints. Played around and came up with a 3-coal factory design. Sooooooo easy so slap that down to add more power now.

Gonna grind out stage 2 and then probably revamp my whole factory. The truck-shuttle pathing thing is pretty neat.

I had a mirror drop back in Bestiary League, haven't seen one drop since lol.

Think I'm calling it quits this league, had a good run. Made it to 32 challenges I think, level 100. If you're still playing and want some currency let me know lol.

I set it down a couple weeks ago, at least for a break if not the rest of the league. I really wanted to get that 36 challenge portal, but I was so burned out lol. I got to 28, level 99, ~300d into my build, couple ubers down.

So, Prince of Persia Lost Sands is pretty awesome. I didn't realize it had hit Steam, but I'd heard a lot about it and been wanting to play. Highly recommend metroidvania fans check it out.

Final Fantasy's early games hit Xbox so I'm finally playing FF6. I'm gonna stick with it because of its reputation, but not impressed after a weekend of playing.

FF6 is a great game, but it's 30 years old, and a slow starter in a genre known for slow starts. The combat is fine, but it's the story, world, and characters that will make or break it for you.

For what it's worth, I think Chrono Trigger has aged better because of it's snappy pacing, and (still very cool) timeline influence elements.

And it has one of the best soundtracks in the series' history.

Does anyone here use a soundbar setup for their primary home theater? I bought a new receiver a only couple years ago but I'm still using old 5.1 speakers. I'm EXTREMELY sick of watching new movies and not being able to clearly understand dialogue. I'm in an apartment and adding a bunch of speakers just isn't feasible, so I'm exploring options.

We have three Sonos Playbars. We have three for a reason. AMA.

Nice. How do you like being in the Sonos ecosystem? My dad is heavily into the Sonos gear and he'd tell me he's happy but he's also stubborn and would never admit his setup is anything less than top of the line  Does your system take advantage of Atmos? and how's it sound for dialogue? My surround sound is awesome. Couldn't be happier. But I'm losing my mind with what I feel is unacceptable dialogue sound mixing.

I don't feel overly in the Sonos ecosystem. It doesn't feel like being in the Apple ecosystem to me; I don't think about it ever. Once you have it setup, you don't need to use the app to connect to it with a phone or computer; it's just on your network. So being in the ecosystem is a-ok for me.

The Playbar we have came out before Atmos was a thing, so I can't comment both from that perspective and as I never felt a need to upgrade further. Generally speaking, I'd say it's not going to replicate a true surround sound system experience, and it's kind of not meant to - its form factor is both its pro and con from that perspective, IMO. What I can say is that we happily replaced our AVR and 7-piece 5.1 system with this bar, and it's been a huge upgrade from both a usability and sound perspective.

Dialogue is crystal-clear. Funny enough with these nice systems, I have pretty sensitive hearing and don't listen to things very loud. I never have issues hearing the dialogue - it's very well balanced. I find the mix to be good, and I do know there are some mixing options in the app, though as mentioned we never use it. Honestly couldn't tell you the last time I pulled the app up. You get it set to your liking and the whole thing just works flawlessly.

You have a full 5 speaker plus sub setup?

Is your TV outputting 5.1 or is it down mixing to stereo and causing the issue?

Cuz, in theory with a 5.1 setup the dialog should be clear as day pumping out the center speaker.

Tough to say though it's been years since I've nerded out on audio stuff

I grew tired of it too. Going from seven pieces (the 5 speakers, AVR, and sub) down to one - with that one being cleanly mounted on the wall right under the TV - was amazing.

I was filled with too much anxiety while the game was on yesterday so I listened to it on the radio and completely redid my living room home theater. Moved it and the furniture to a completely new realignment.

I also added two Atmos up-firing speakers, then recalibrated all seven channels, evening everything out except the center channel, which I bumped five decibels.

Giving it the Fury Road test at the moment. If anything, might need to turn the center channel down a bit now.

Also half tempted to go back to Best Buy and buy two more Atmos speakers and have a 5.1.4 setup. They were on clearance yesterday for half off. Course then I'd have to upgrade my receiver again at some point and blergh.

Still pretty hooked on UFO 50. There's so many different ideas and genres within the 50 games it's incredible.
