As we all know, we're one of the lowest accountability markets for NBA personnel. Kidd, nobody mainstream will call him on that quote. The crutch though, a desperate man.

He should have been gone last year at this time after that miserable stretch.
Go Bucks!

I've seen him multiple times looking extremely frustrated and drunk. They have also interviewed him at half time or between quarters and you can tell, he isn't very happy.

Contrary to some people's opinion, I think this is a vital time for SaveOurBucks, if not SaveOurGiannis. Right now he's undergoing the biggest emotional test he's had: wanting to win, having the ball taken out of his hands, losing to teams that we shouldn't.

All it could take is the right whisper in his ear from the right superstar and he could become genuinely unhappy. I'm worried.

Does it matter? There isn't an owner on the planet that looks at a half empty arena on a Friday night and is gonna be happy with the product on the court. These guys aren't clueless to what's happening around them. At this point the only thing that's probably gonna prevent a midseason firing is the financial ramifications on Kidd's contract.

Just amazing with the context of this quote.

Kidd wrote:I've said it all year, & I'm going to keep saying it. We are young. You're going to have to keep talking them to get thru it, & until it clicks that they need each other, then this is who we're going to be. We're going to be a team that wins 2, loses 2"

This really is unbelievable.

Pretty sure Edens was at the Pacers game where they got run out of the building. Have to imagine that didn't sit well.

Yeah some accountability on his end wouldn’t be the worst thing. Although when I hear him say these things I can’t help but think he is either trying to get fired or putting it on Horst that he doesn’t have enough talent and wants a panic trade for another vet. Potentially there is a trade out there they can make and he wants done but Horst is still saying no. Either way I can’t recall a coach ever making these type of comments.

I think if they said they would give him all his money and he could walk away to go pursue "more time with his family" or a coaching job at Cal, I think he'd walk away in a heartbeat.

Just a matter of time until that is an option.

That is the other side of things. I am not sure that Kidd wants to be a coach. I think he sees it as a stepping stone to upper an management position.

Personally, I think they see it way more than people think. I think the larger issue is there is not consensus around him. Those guys have been at a lot of games where we have looked like absolute dog **** and I don't think it sits well with them. Whenever we have our really **** games, I always try to see which owner was there

I have no doubts he was about 1 game from getting **** canned last season, but what I can't explain is why the owners seemingly bought back into him.

Curious if there's been evidence of this or it's just your opinion? I sure hope it doesn't sit well with them.

They bought back in because of march and 2 wins against the Raptors which created an absurd amount of buzz and optimism for the following season. Hell, a lot of us bought in.

Now the East isn't as bad as most thought it would be and I believe we've seen internal development (save for Thon).

So, if we bought it, that means the casual fan base dove in head first. The owners chalked that up as a success and here we are...

I honestly think it's that simple. There are no basketball people within the organization that will sit the owners down and talk to them about what's wrong with the way we approach preparing game-plans and scheming. So until they have an epiphany themselves or the team starts to tank, Jason Kidd will be here. I'm resigned and numb to that probable fact.

Just listening to Kidd's rant on being young and how we're kids, it really does sound like he can feel the fire under his ass.

The excuses just sound absolutely pitiful especially because of what he said earlier this year about being young, the way he was trying to convince everyone in the press conference had me cracking up though.

Or at least unlock and bump the Tobias Harris thread. It is like a warning shot.

I could see #SaveOurGiannis being a thing.

The Bucks aren't leaving town any time soon with the new arena so #SaveOurBucks isn't as intuitive.

But we have but a few short years for the braintrust in charge to #SaveOurGiannis.

If the new arena is half full because no changes are made, the revenue won’t be there and maybe the owners decide to pay whatever penalty there is that lets them move the team or sell it to someone who will. Paying a couple hundred million to move to a market that supports the team might be worth it in the long run.

But at least we’ll have a nice new arena for concerts and stuff...

I know that the Bucks announcers are employees, and are to be advocates for the team and all but I'm tired of hearing just simply ridiculous statements about short-comings that may slightly point a finger at players (immaturity, or strength type things) but never the coaches. Example being rebounding. I hear well they need to get a body on a guy. That's true but when you have a scheme where you are running all over trying to find a guy to guard, and end up with your 1 on their 5. Does it really matter how much "body" you put on him? Or not stopping penetration but running along side a guy and wait for help... I don't get it... :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

When Kidd says things like "you can tell them what to do but they still have to do it", he's absolutely right. Some players just don't get it. But in this case, with this team and this coach, there's no way they are being coached to do the right things. No way in hell. It goes beyond Kidd. It's the whole staff. I honestly believe a good coaching staff would make all the difference in the world with this team.

Giannis is in his 5th year, Bledsoe his 8th, Middleton his 6th, Henson his 6th, Delly his 5th. This is NOT an inexperienced team.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I'm from MI. I watched the Ford family not care about "the product" for years. So yea, it matters.
