Ray averaged 5.7 3PA per game, Steph 8.7. Steph's percentage much higher. Both great shooters but Steph is amazing.

Gonna be interesting to see if Steph can add to his record (career 3-point conversions). One to watch.imo

Based on that look, I think Ray might be open to signing a contract with the Bucks to try and get his record back and we could use an extra body right now.

That's the face of a man rightfully thinking "I'd have 4,000 career 3-pointers if I was drafted 10 years later"...

Also, I'm a pretty big Steph guy and find him extremely likeable, but the whole 3PT record celebration did seem really over the top. If only because it's obvious what the NBA wants to promote here.

I'm so conflicted. I want to say this is an amazing tweet but that would be saying something nice about Durant.

(Kind of like Durant as the enemy. Not evil guy who has done anything **** but just not too likeable but talented as hell.)

It feels like every time I open up Twitter, I see another player either in NFL or NBA testing positive for COVID. This month has been brutal.

Yeah the marketing clearly worked. I didn't know people were on pins and needles waiting for the record to be broken till like 2 weeks ago. Tbh I just assumed he had the record already.

It's the natural evolution of the sport. Ray Allen would be shooting more threes at a higher percentage if he played in today's era. Steph had players like Ray and Ray's teammate Dell Curry to watch and emulate and improve on their techniques. The scary thing is there are kids growing up today watching and emulating Steph Curry. Imagine how the game will look in 20 years.

I generally agree with the take this is a bit overdone/hyped, but it it what it is and the guy has changed the game.

One things I've thought as I've had stuff on the background the last few days talking like this is an unbreakable record(assuming 4-6 years more of big numbers). I really don't see that to be the case with how much young players are shooting 3s now at a higher volume than he did when he came in. Plus, many of these guys will come in the league 2-3 years younger than him and start putting up 8-10 attempts a game right away.

That said, I'll be shocked if anyone in my life surpasses him as best shooter even if they do break the record. His percents while doing so much off the dribble and contested is unforeseen.

Random thought: Is there a point/accumulation stat threshold where a guy should be an automatic HOFer? Scrolling down the all-time scoring list, basically everyone north of 20k is in the HOF or are shoe-ins....except Joe Johnson, Antwan Jamison, and Tom Chambers. I dont hear much talk about the first two ever making it, but that is a crap ton of points.

When you have a hankering to make non-deals and also hold a powerful flammable currency fetish, you have to bring in Dan Ainge. Zanik needs a Xanax after this sht.

Makes sense as Ainge went to BYU and is a mormon. Big Utah connections. I’d be pissed if I were Zanik.

Jason Kidd having 6 more 3s than Dirk doesn't sit right with me.
