I really look forward to Thursday when this board goes into all out war after the Bucks don't make any sort of deal and have a relatively boring night.

Man still feel that if wiggins in there at #2 the bucks should drop down to 3 get philly 3rd and thad young .Even if that's the only trade they make a exum, knight, giannis, young and sanders would be a pretty good starting 5 n a fairly effective D lineup

Why would you look forward to that?

Hey i'm almost expecting (not wishing) another team to get 7 or 8th pick with a package a lot worse than what we could offer.

Having the 2nd pick in the draft will make for an entertaining night regardless IMO. Sitting on our hands all night won't be enough to screw the night up for me.

Why? We're not winning next year. We don't want to win next year. We are officially rebuilding. So why trade for a guy who makes $9 mill a year and will probably bail in free agency in 2016. I'm cool with trading back, but I'd do it for picks, not role players who aren't going to make you a championship contender. All that will do is win us some more games and move us right back to that 15-20 pick spot that effed us for so many years.

Who is confidant Hammond can close a deal for a 5-9 pick?

Based on his track record, it sucks bad that we still have him in that position.

Yeah but the history of this board (and mankind btw) is when we get something good we always start to wish and thinking we can get even more. Every offseason or trade deadline that I remember here even when we made some kind of trade that looked good we always start to think of another things we can get

Thats why we have the MTC joke

I think some sort of trade will have to happen if Parker is the pick.

Your PFs would be Ersan, Henson, and Parker. You may get away with keeping Henson if he can play C consistently, but no way you are keeping Ersan. Ersan is an utter disaster off the bench.

I could see a lineup of Wolters, Knight, Giannis, Parker, Sanders/Henson.

Wiggins being the pick and you may not have to trade anyone. Wolters/Knight, Wiggins, Giannis, Henson/Ersan, Sanders/Henson.

I love how we're preemptively blaming Hammond for not acquiring a 2nd lottery pick, like teams are just dying to give those away.

Are you suggesting Sanders because you prefer Henson to him, or because you think it would take Sanders to be accepted?

I want to sell both. Sell low on Sanders to fuel the tank, and sell high on Henson before a) other teams realise he's rubbish, and b) we have to pay him.
I think there's a market for both: analytics GMs looking to buy low for the former and old-school GMs for the latter.

You think Wolters and Knight in at the same time can work? Isn't that a defensive nightmare? putting 6'2" knight on 6'5" and 6'6" SGs. I feel like we'd give up too much there.

Not only that, but it's not like we'd be the only team trying to acquire another pick. Easier said than done. Sure hope he at least tries tho.

This board will melt down if Parker is not picked by the Cavs. That's how fast it will happen. :D

Well, Knight is 6' 3.25" in shoes.

If we don't come away with Wiggins or any other starting-caliber SG in the draft, I could definitely see us trying Knight at SG.

I think probably 90%+ of the board will be OK with Wiggins or Parker. I can understand having a favorite, but really can't see being pissed off with Parker. To me that's going overboard.

There is an even simpler reality, the new owners have not even come close to saying Hammond will keep his job this year, much less long term, who is to say he would be given the ability to pull off a major deal.
