Re: Trade Targets
I don't think Stephenson is so much of a cancer off the court as he is on the court.

I don't see how Lance fits on our team any better than he does on the Hornets

Ball dominant, awful shooter. He fits perfectly.

he steals rebounds and wanted to get paid. don't you read?Lance Stephenson of the Indiana Pacers was charged with assault, reckless endangerment and menacing after being accused of pushing his girlfriend down a flight of concrete stairs.
Stephenson allegedly caused Jasmine Williams, his 21-year-old girlfriend and mother of his child, to fall down 10 steps at about 5 a.m. Sunday, police told the New York Daily News. She was treated for head and neck injuries in the fall Sunday in Brooklyn, a New York Police Department spokesman told the Associated Press. Stephenson, 19, was released on his own recognizance after appearing in Brooklyn Criminal Court.
Stephenson, who played at Abraham Lincoln High School in Brooklyn and the University of Cincinnati for a year, was recruited by the University of Maryland and Under Armour for its basketball shoe division. The move was a controversial one for Maryland Coach Gary Williams because Stephenson had been suspended for fighting with a teammate in high school and was arrested in October 2008 for allegedly groping a female high school student. He was charged with a Class B misdemeanor and pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct in the latter incident.
his girlfriend was pregnant at the time too iirc
he was a lottery talent taken in the 2nd round, Indiana had him and let him go, only Charlotte was willing to sign him this offseason and now they're trading him the first chance they get and are being asked to give up a 1st or two for somebody willing to take him. Who is a bigger cancer in this league?
It's a joke dude, you hate on Larry all the time yet you want this sociopath.
id be more convinced by a conviction then the version of what happened by his pregnant future baby mama who was coming home after partying at 5 am in the morning with her 2 ho friends. seriously this is the issue with him? this story that the cops decided was a fable? ive seen too many of these stories leveled against athletes that were concocted garbage once the cops interviewed everybody to hold him guilty when a da, judge, and jury didn't.
the only thing hes ever been convicted of, EVER, was disorderly conduct in high school. and hes been clean of any conviction of anyting ever since. hes maybe not the brightest guy but hes not this evil guy everybody makes him out to be either. if bird wants him..... then im willing to give the kid a chance until theres more tangible evidence to him being a problem then teammates bitching about selfishness in his breakout year and a single ancient conviction on a misdemeanor.

Bird wants him... so long as they send two first round picks back with him.

Re: Trade Targets
The irony of wanting to kick Sanders to the curb for nothing but wanting to trade for Stephenson is highly amusing.
Wonder which one has more value ?

Neither.
We finally have a young team with hardworking high character guys and you guys want to bring in cancers who aren't even elite players for what? Stay the course and be patient, DON'T BE STUPID! We have a draft pick and we'll have cap room, draft another blue chipper and sign a guy like Dragic or whoever. Boom, we got a contender in a couple years. Maybe when we're an established team knocking on the door of winning a championship we can take risks on these mercenary types, until then you're risking EVERYTHING!

No, I'm not advocating for either, just sounding you guys out on two guys with some skills, who appear to be available. Some high maintenance guys can be productive in certain situations and not so much in others.

Waiters is a better fit. He's athletic and can shoot decently. Stephensen is literally the worst fit on this team of anybody I can think of.

Re: Trade Targets
It's crazy that certain people get on Larry for leaving his dog outside, getting jumped by 5 Albanians, and smoking weed but inexplicably want future prison baller Lance Stephenson.

Let's just trade for JR Smith and be done with it.

Re: Trade Targets
Again, we don't have to keep Stephenson. We can cut him and this deal still makes sense for us.
Outgoing:
Ersan ($16mm owed)
Dudley ($8mm still owed)
Inbound:
Stephenson ($18mm owed)
Vonleh ($2.6mm this year, $2.7mm next year rookie deal)
We dump $24mm of salary and give Charlotte two semi-useful veterans. We take on $24 million in salary and end up with Vonleh. Pretty much a player asset trade of Ersan/Dudley for Vonleh. Who doesn't do that? (except of course for Charlotte who might balk badly)

Re: Trade Targets
Lets get Rubio on this team, sell low on him now that he's hurt. I think Minny would bite on Knight
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Im fine with trading for him and then cutting him. Especially if we get assets back.

Re: Trade Targets
I don't know if Minny would be interested in trading Rubio, he would be the perfect PG for this team tho.
As long as Stephenson doesn't set foot in Milwaukee, I don't care what we do.
