Agree. Also, only 72/100? He's no Jordan Nwora

Ayo is intriguing, but he almost always goes to his right and turns it over a lot.

Wieskamp is just not a good individual defender.

Been liking Grimes the more I watch of him. He's a really good athlete so maybe there's still a little untapped offensive potential, but even if he's just a 3&D guy, I could see him fitting into that Donte/Pat role pretty seamlessly. Can never have too many athletic wings that can shoot.

2021 NBA Draft Scouting

Grimes isn’t at the top of my list but he feels like the kinda player we’ve been trying to surround Giannis with the last few years.

Any interest in Josh Christopher?

From the (close to) zero research and NCAA knowledge I have, just my reasding the mock drafts andd the stats it looks like there could be some good 2nd round opportunities.
Could we potentially add a second 2nd round pick somehow ? Offering cash ?

Yes! I was reading through this thread and was going to mention him. He has great size, 6'5" and the 6'8" wingspan. Really good athlete. Can score off the dribble, pretty good playmaker just wasn't able to show it in college much. His shooting was very inconsistent but his form is solid so I expect that to get much better. Quick and smooth release.

He has great potential, a very confident kid. Got some swagger to him. He is just very inconsistent both offensively and defensively. Sometimes over confident. But the tools are there for a second round steal.

Just wondering - what caliber player do you expect to get at 31?

Grimes is interesting. He has Khris Middleton moves and a Cameron Payne/MKG sidecock shot.

Keldon Johnson, Garry Trent Jr, Landry Shamet, Terance Mann seem to be reasonable ceilings for that pick range. Add Derrick White, Josh Hart. Just let the Spurs draft for us.

Reminds me of PJ a little bit. But scores as a cutter more than a 3 point shooter being the major difference. His form isn't terrible though. Terrific rebounder, looks real solid defensively. A very off the ball offensive game. Not a fan at 31 but he'd fit the "we're dogs" brand we got going.

I like that he knows how to move without the ball and has good court vision with some of those give and goes. I’m biased, I went to Pitt. Looks like his 3pt percentage is not good though 25 in year 1/32 in year 2).

Idk something like Keldon Johnson, Kevin Porter, Gobert, Capela,Jokic, Draymond, Arenas, Brogdon, Marc Gasol, Bane, Mitchell Robinson, Josh Hart, Siakam, etc would be fine. Are you saying we should have low expectations because Horst isn’t a very good drafter?

All those guys were picked within 4-5 picks of our spot.

That's be even better if we had the 6th pick.
