It couldn't be Ross, he has a $13.5 million salary.

I'd be happy to add Mo Bamba, even though we don't need him right now. We will need him next year after Portis opts out.

However, we'd need to add a veteran PG right now.

Don’t speak on Bobby leaving. He’s gonna take a hometown discount and be a Buck for a long time.

I don't really think we need a PG per se. We do need someone who can guard PGs, but we don't need someone who can run an offense.

Bamba would be a high upside get.

There's this young dude on the Knicks. "The French Prince" I believe they call him...

Thinking about what teams might value DJA in general. It’d be early for the Bucks to cut bait but we don’t have many tradeable contracts if we want to add a piece of some kind.

Would ORL do a DJA for Mo Bamba trade? He's just wasting away on their bench and they need a pg. Saves us a little money too and we might even be able to ask for one of our 2nd rounders back. That could open things up for a Brook trade especially if we resign Ersan.

Augustine for Bamba.
Lopez for Ball.

For Ross the idea would be both DJs. It works contracts wise then. And it provides Orl value in reducing salary not only this year by a bit but by around 6 mil per year afterwards.

Buy low on Bamba makes sense too.

While clicking around Orl I also realized Brook+DJs works for Vucevic. Would solve that problem long term. Incentive for Orl would be money savings, breaking the Vuc contract into two smaller pieces, and whatever picks we'd throw in. Still, I assume they're gonna keep on playoff chasing there so won't do it.

For Ball. Just ask yourself if his name was Frank Anderson, 2nd overall pick who can't shoot and has flopped for 4 years, would you want him then.

The problem with that is Vucevic is on a friendly deal, that reduces by $2mil each year for the next 2 years. If ORL is trying to tank, they might make that deal, but value will need to be included for Vucevic. Someone else would have a way better offer. I would do it in a heartbeat though.

Would prefer to get Ross from them, but I don't think we could do that without including DDV. DJW/DJA/2nd for Ross maybe. But they have no incentive to do that. We could throw in Nwora but personally I'd prefer to keep him.

Ross has not been very good this season, and outside of ‘18-‘19, hasn’t been very good the last few years.

At this point what type of player are they trying to get (if they are even trying)? I am a little confused. I saw Vincent Goodwill report on Twitter that Bucks (among others) were after D Rose. So, are they looking for a better wing player or a backup point guard?

Pels running with a Lopez/Adams centre pairing? Expensive and not good.

The talk about Forbes starting in the Cavs post game thread has me thinking some more about what the Bucks could get for a Donte-based package.

Most of the time you have to trade something good to get something good. And Donte has definitely improved his trade value significantly since that time a few months ago when we tried and failed to trade him for Bogdan.

Certainly don’t think we trade Donte on the cheap mind you. Rather I could see a deal being more likely if his value is more than we might otherwise expect and an opportunity presents itself.

My guess is the Bucks were just trying to be the 3rd team trying to send DJW out.

Yes. He's an average shooter with great passing and good defense.

If his name was Frank Andersen, I would want him even more because we wouldn't have to put up with that crazy ass clown dad.

Can we just throw in a 2nd and get Mamba, but keep Brook. No need to get Ntilikina, just use the the money saved sending out DJA and sign Emmanuel Mudiay or Shabbaz Napier.

From the Rose trade, it looks like the Pistons are focusing on young players this season and playing their young guys a lot more.

DJW and a 2nd for Ellington
DJA and a 2nd for Bamba
Forbes and a 2nd for Brunson

Mavs get poor man's Seth Curry while dealing from there abundant PG depth.

Bucks can now sign a 15th player immediately.

In for a center or another wing. Rather grab a yung-un, since the expiration date dudes have performed like they were past the sell by date.
