Your PFs would be Ersan, Henson, and Parker. You may get away with keeping Henson if he can play C consistently, but no way you are keeping Ersan. Ersan is an utter disaster off the bench.

I could see a lineup of Wolters, Knight, Giannis, Parker, Sanders/Henson.

Wiggins being the pick and you may not have to trade anyone. Wolters/Knight, Wiggins, Giannis, Henson/Ersan, Sanders/Henson.

You think Wolters and Knight in at the same time can work? Isn't that a defensive nightmare? putting 6'2" knight on 6'5" and 6'6" SGs. I feel like we'd give up too much there.

No. I don't think it would work. In that scenario you will need to make a trade to get a legit SG or maybe draft one in the second round. That is where you would need to trade Ersan/Sanders/Henson/whomever for a SG or draft pick to get a SG.

That is why Parker is a "harder" fit for this team. Wiggins would be too if he can't play SG. Doesn't mean the Bucks shouldn't take either Parker or Wiggins, just means that a follow up trade needs to be made to make Parker work better.

Hammond should just call all the other GMs in the top8 and offer any pick of assets they want minus Giannis and 1st rd Picks in exchange for whatever contracts they want to dump on us and their 1st. Seems easy on Hammond's end, problem will be tricking anyone into thinking we have anything worth another lotto pick.

John Hammond and the Bucks' franchise are not bound by old tendencies when there is a new regime in place. Forget everything you previously knew and start with a blank slate. It could be an uplifting, action-filled night on Thursday. You can be pessimistic again before next draft if nothing special happens this one.

Based on his track record, it sucks bad that we still have him in that position.

There is an even simpler reality, the new owners have not even come close to saying Hammond will keep his job this year, much less long term, who is to say he would be given the ability to pull off a major deal.

Coach Drew is more problematic to me. I don't believe he is a championship level coach.

Yeah, I want Wiggins. But would not be upset with Parker. It's tough, because there's things I like about Wiggins over Parker...but then I think about the things I like better in Parker.

Can't we just combine the 2? I suppose if that happened, that player would go ahead of a healthy Embiid.

In that scenario, I'd take Smart at 3. I think he'll be a better overall player than Exum. My current big board...

1. Parker
2. Smart
3. Wiggins
4. Embiid
5. Exum
6. Gordon
7. Randle
8. Warren
9. Payne
10. Saric

I don't think that would be a trick.

Sanders is the best interior defender in the NBA, whilst also being a good rebounder, can play above the rim, and pass. That's worth a top 10 pick easily without the baggage, none of which is major individually.

As for Henson and Knight, they are borderline lotto caliber players individually. Henson has put up some gaudy stat lines in single games his first two years, and Knight can shoot, score some off the dribble, and defend solidly. He's the future Jason Terry if you play him at sg in an unconventional starting lineup or as a 6th man combo guard.

I don't think it's a matter of tricking anyone, rather convincing them acquiring these players will benefit them. It may do just that.

If the smoke about Philly coveting Wiggins, and the Bucks being particularly intrigued by Exum and another prospect around 10, is true, we certainly might. I wouldn't bet on it, but it shouldn't be dismissed definitively either.

Refer to BuckPack's post.

IMO (and many), this is a three player draft. One is an injury question mark and shouldn't (and in many's opinion) be drafted in the top 5. That leaves, wait for it, two of the three players. Meaning we are taking the one that's not taken by Cleveland (or by Cleveland for someone else).
The Bulls are the absolute worst.

Oh come on -- he's a championship level coach. For a High School team...

Because I'm fine with the second pick and whoever is available there. I'm even fine with all those second rounders.

I get that. But why would you be looking forward to the board turning into an all out war?

I want peace and harmony. :meditate:

Because this board can be hilarious at times. It's usually keyed by chaos.

if that player existed i don't know if i could handle my anger that cleveland got #1 again. if there's any good about them being almost equal in many people's eyes, is that it feels fine picking at #2.

If Hammond goes Drew is obviously gone as well. My guess is that the ownership group already has their Pres of Basketball OPS and he will have the power to decide.
