If Kidd says Bledsoe's ability to create for teammates will make Giannis and Parker better I'd believe him.

Bledsoe is 24 and likely as good of a player as we'd hope to draft with another top pick next year. He's also a great fit on our team with plenty of potential still. I don't get what people want to save cap space for, we aren't signing anyone better than Bledsoe and he's still a young piece.

Bledsoe and his $6mm cap hold will sit with Phoenix until such time LeBron makes a decision. What would shake it up is if we offered the 4/$64 deal and Bledsoe actually signed it. That would put a $16mm cap hold on PHX and they would have three days to match it. It would screw up their LeBron dreams, although the Suns fans assume Bledsoe would never sign that offer sheet until LeBron made up his mind.

1. Moratorium.
2. Bucks don't have the cap space to give Bledsoe max offer sheet.
3. The Suns have enough cap space for LeBron even with maxed out Bledsoe.

Yeah the moratorium makes it hard for restricted free agency and limits a team's abilities to foil another team's plans by offering a huge offer to a RFA. Players can't even sign offer sheets until July 10th, so Phoenix would have until July 13th to match and by that time LeBron will hopefully have decided where he's going.

So you don't think prime KG was a max level player?

During KGs tenure with Minny, he had the super max which accounted for 90% of the Wolves cap. No, I don't think anyone was worth that.

Completely off topic, but I was just in Conover this past weekend. Friend has a new house on North Twin Lake.

I mean look at the team we won 38 games with when Larry actually played. And that was with Boylan coaching 50 of them. This years team with Bledsoe is miles better than that roster and Kidd will not be worse than Boylan.

Curious, what was your season prediction last year again? And it's totally normal for a playoff team to start two 19yr olds.

Curious, what odds do you have on Mayo, Ersan and Sanders all playing (or not playing) as bad as they did this season?

If Sanders, Ersan, Mayo all play the same way we still should have a better record than last year, otherwise Giannis is another guy in a long list that we severely overrate. All other things being constant, the addition of Kidd and Parker along with what should be improved play from Wolters and Giannis should lift are win total at least 5 games. Parker and Kidd should give us another 5 games and say the improved play of Sanders should give us a couple more games. I'm seeing minimum we are winning 25 games next year and that puts us probably around 8 in the lottery. We aren't getting a stud at that slot, so sign me up for Blesdsoe. Not at a max contract, though.

I think Ersan will play better but I hated Mayo signing and Sanders extension and still do. I think Mayo will be just as bad and I don't think Sanders will ever live up to his contract.

I see Rondo and Kemba Walker.

Who is FA in 2015 at PG you are liking?

Goran Dragic (likely opt out), Tony Parker, Ricky Rubio (restricted), Patrick Beverly, Reggie Jackson (restricted). At least a couple of those guys figure to be on the move.

Dragic is 29 next summer.
Tony Parker is 33 next summer and he's a Spur for life.
Patrick Beverly is a role player.
Reggie Jackson is good, but I think Bledsoe is better.
Rubio is interesting, but if Love moves on they are sure to keep Rubio.

Ruling out a 29 year old Goran Dragic is absurd.
Parker is highly unlikely but I could definitely see him on the move if Tim/Pop/Manu call it quits.
Patrick Beverley is a starter and one of the best perimeter defenders in the league.
Agree on Reggie Jackson.
Anything could happen with the Timberwolves, no one has a clue what's going on there. Rubio's game would be translate beautifully with Jabari and Giannis.
+ Kemba Walker
+Rajon Rondo

During their initial media blitz the owners talked about the importance of being aggressive in free agency ONLY after a few years of building through the draft. Everyone seemed to applaud that vision at the time and I don't see I don't see why we should deviate from it now. I'm willing to wait at least another year, add a top pick and reassess the options being discussed. Could probably be talked into waiting another two.

For reasons already stated several times, last year is irrelevant when talking about this year. If we get Bledsoe we can certainly make a side wager on playoffs though.

I don't know how it's absurd to want to not pursue a long term deal with a 29 year old point guard next summer.

Not something I'd even remotely consider.

Especially one that will have multiple suitors who we would almost surely have to dramatically overpay.

Same with Steve Nash, no way would I trade for him for a team like us.

If many are ruling out a 24 year old Bledsoe because Giannis and Parker are only 19, why would we want to pair a 29 year old Dragic with two 20 year olds?

I think a Knight/Bledsoe backcourt can be one of the best the NBA. and not to mention the potential of a Parker/Giannis/Sanders frontcourt. and you have a trade asset in Henson. Future could be bright.

Sanders doesn't have to live up to the contract to have a much bigger impact on wins than he did last year.

If the Bucks got Bledsoe, I think they would be in that 5-7 seed range with a young exciting roster. They would only get better with experience. Making the playoffs with 2 19 year olds would be amazing even in a terrible conference. Having the opportunity to add to the roster a player that is viewed as a building block for the future should be a no brainer.
