Horst and co can't sell this as doing a solid for Giannis but am fascinated to see what happens if he's a complete trainwreck at anytime during the season.

Mind if we stop talking about Thanasis?

Because Giannis will be traded if he doesn’t sign next summer plain and simple. Thanasis is the bargaining chip hanging over his head. If he were to stay or want another team to make a trade, it would be even more difficult for another team to acquire him if they can’t assure Giannis they get Thanasis too.

I think Giannis probably wanted to get his brother a foot in the door somewhere in this League, not necessarily on his team. I doubt Thanasis will be a factor on his decision, he wants to help his family in general but he was fine all these years without a brother on his team.

I think maybe the point is that we are showing him that we will do things for him. Also dont forget that thanasis being here through Giannis's extension negotiations means that hes not under contract somewhere else and we can say with 100% certainty that we will sign him again if thats what Giannis wants. I honestly dont care if we roster all three of his brothers at some point. Giannis + Bud + Lopez makes us a 55 win team just based on physics alone. Make them all starters and rename the team the Antetokounmpos for all i care. Giannis must stay.

Who is scoring on four Antetokounmpos and Brook BTW? Get them all in the gym and have them practice their euro steps and three point shots in staggered unison, and we are in business

He would be a good second banana to Giannis and move Mid properly to the 3rd banana slot. Russ is an order of magnitude better than Bledsoe.

If we could deal Bledsoe + Ersan + Jon L+ the Indy picks we should absolutely do that. (but I don’t think we can trade Bledsoe until later)

It would send us way into the tax but...billionaires with a B.

I’d do it. It could be the modern version of Oscar/Kareem. You just saw what being bold did for Toronto, it got them a ring
Bucks tricked me into being a diehard in 2001, LeBron is the 2nd best player ever, and pizza is awesome.

Hill was easily the best player of those four in the playoffs. We can say Brogdon was hurt, but he has missed the end of the regular season three of the past four years. Health is a skill.

Are you familiar with Giannis? No that isn't entirely possible at all...

Grabbing boards off Adams box outs isn't the only part to chasing triple doubles. He does a lot of the weird Rondo **** like over dribbling waiting for plays that aren't there and abandoning plays he created to try to get that extra assist or two, stuff that really can bog down an offense. The year he had post Durant/pre George I think he actually showed he can get the numbers he wants while playing HIS game and not actively chasing numbers. And really I don't think that needs to change much to be effective next to a star, even Giannis.

Brogdon is becoming one of the most overrated Bucks of all time. He’s an average defender with a limited offensive game. He was a good player here, but Khris is easily the second best player the Bucks have had since Michael Redd. I think that Brogdon contract is going to look really bad a year from now when he is asked to do far too much in Indy. That’s not even accounting for his injury history.

We all just witnessed how good the Bucks can be when they surround Giannis with shooters. Why add a guy who's biggest weakness is he can't shoot? Feels like a backwards move just to say we got a "2nd star".

Edit: talking about westbrook

I really have no idea why people are pissed about Thanasis. He will likely be our 15th guy and he absolutely could give some decent minutes off the bench.

Giannis + Thanasis > Not Giannis + a really good player

Horford/Brogdon at 188 better than Robin Lopez/Middleton at 188.

The first thought that came to my head about the Thansis signing was that they were doing him a solid and going to throw him into a trade to match salaries, because he doesn't really fit our team. Can't create or shoot. Makes ya wonder what we have brewing considering we haven't officially signed alot of players yet.

I'm in agreement with you. Brogdon was a nice ROLE player, but he's far from being a star in this league. I think everyone is putting too much stock in his 50/40/90 stats, which is an excellent achievement, but also downplaying his foot. I'd honestly be surprised if he plays more than 70 games this year. Didn't we have a really good record when he was out this past year? I will say, Brogdon is a consistent player, and that will be missed, but Giannis is the one that stirs this Bucks drink.

Can thanasis guard the wing? If so, you throw him on Kawhi, Lebron, George, whoever for 5 minutes a half to make their life tougher and keep your other guys out of foul trouble. Not a big deal.

Chances are you're in trouble if you're having to rely on your 15th man. Not worried about the signing.

They are trying to trade for Russell Westbrook. The two teams have already began exploratory discussions.
