We're kinda screwed if Philly gets Lowry or Powell imo. Just don't see us on their level if they pull that off, and I already think full strength Brooklyn is a level above everyone.

If you're like me and demand constant entertainment, do I have a video for you!
https://youtu.be/mK6QkcMWpbk
Highlights:
*The 1st 2 minutes is Wood refusing to even pretend he wants to play, especially defense
*Then DJ Wilson comes in for him after he's benched, looks lost and Houston goes to seemingly a 5 wing midget lineup the rest of the half - can't prove that
*at 5 min in Wall makes one of the best plays I've seen
*at like 515 the best end of half shot in awhile
*at like 7 min the DJ/DJ show begins then ends pretty quickly before Wood comes back with some awesome offense and continued refusal to play D
* Best of all, Toronto still loses which is always awesome

Play with an MVP and maybe get a ring. We're on a nice hot streak so it's a good time to try.

To make this more funny, pause the video after Wood just stands there and gives up easy points and imagine Bud slamming a clipboard down or something

Sure but he could also do that in Brooklyn, LA or Philly.

If Indy wants to take the next step, they absolutely need to blow it up. There is zero superstar potential on that roster, and the front office can see it. And being a small market, they are carrying a $125mm payroll this year, with likely much lower revenues coming in the door.

Shams reported at the end of January that "Redick, whose family resides in Brooklyn, is believed to have a strong preference to return to the northeast area."
If he gets bought out the Bucks probably don't have a shot considering the other contenders he'd have to choose from, even if the Sixers are really "still soured on Redick."

If he gets bought out the Bucks probably don't have a shot considering the other contenders he'd have to choose from, even if the Sixers are really "still soured on Redick."
New Orleans Pelicans sharpshooter JJ Redick likely won't be in Louisiana for long. After signing a two-year deal with the Pelicans during last year's offseason, Redick is reportedly looking for a one-way trip to the Northeast before his contract wraps up.
For the last couple of months, the Pelicans have reportedly shopped Redick around. So far, they've come up with nothing. As the trade deadline nears, it seems Redick is more than likely headed towards a buyout situation rather than a trade.
If that's the case, he'll have the opportunity to weigh his options and sign wherever he pleases. Past reports have speculated that Redick would like to join either the Brooklyn Nets, Boston Celtics, or the Philadelphia 76ers, where he spent two seasons.
There have been rumors in the past stating Redick would've liked to finish his career up in the City of Brotherly Love. Also, Philly could use a veteran three-point shooter, who holds value in the leadership department. Therefore, a possible return for Redick in Philly could happen.
However, it seems there could be something that prevents a reunion from happening in the coming weeks. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, there are officials within Philly's front office that are still unhappy with Redick's 2019 defensive playoff performance against the Toronto Raptors and the Brooklyn Nets.
"Philadelphia 76ers officials who predate Daryl Morey are still soured on Redick from his disappointing defensive performance in the 2019 postseason, sources said."

Bucks have big needs in the backcourt. Lot of minutes and shots available.
However off the court Milwaukee of course is a far cry from Miami, Brooklyn and LA.
thing is, with rona world still here for at least a few months and the teams being forced to be fairly isolated the off court stuff is very minimized now. And, winter is over here in WI.
Of course if the info about his family being in BKN is true that matters and after spending like 5 years in LA he probably has a home or ties there too. So I get that, I just meant a lot of the traditional things that give the prime locations preference are minimized now and winter is over.
Resident Lillard truther since 2015.

Agreed that coming to Milwaukee with winter over and the playoffs coming up quick would be more enticing than otherwise.
For that matter, Redick could approach it as an opportunity to burnish his reputation for going to a contender in a non-glamour market, and take the extra minutes / easier shots / defensive backstop to try and earn a better deal for next year wherever he wants.
Not sure if he takes it though. He could prefer to ring chase in Brooklyn or the like even if he wouldn't really contribute that much.

just seeing this now but pretty hilarious that indy is listening to offers on brogdon literally 1.5 years into his deal but his contract and injury history has made his deal neutral despite his fugazi numbers when he does play.
getting a pick and being able to sign the others makes that a pretty strong indictment against those who feel we "really messed that one up"

Boston? Clips?
How about Philly if they can't get Lowry?
jrue vs brogdon couldnt be a better playoff matchup for us in the entire league

Probably. I wouldn't mind JJ for free if he's bought out but he's 36 years old and might just be cooked.SupremeHustle wrote:Forbes is better than Redick right now.

The one trade possibility out there that legitimately I do not want to happen. Current goal is that you can try and get the 1 seed and make Philly/Brooklyn have to play each other and you only have to play the winner. But if Philly gets Lowry... oof. Not only are you probably not grabbing the 1, but your 2nd and 3rd rounds become infinitely harder.

I find it a little funny that a high-level athlete would have a strong preference to live in a region for 3 months when you are traveling half the time. Like if your family was actually in Brooklyn, makes sense to have that preference so you can see them daily, but not sure it really matters if they are a flight away to say Philly compared to Milwaukee.

Or Indiana just needs to rebuild. And considering the extent to which it's a sellers' market Brogdon's value could be high enough to persuade the Pacers to cash out.
Now it's not impossible Indiana is just spooked by his injuries and wants to drop him asap while they can.
But I'd be surprised if Malcolm didn't yield back considerably more than what the Bucks got for him.

Yep, as we discussed yesterday, this isn't "Man, Brog dog sucks, not what we expected. Only averaging 22/6 on 46% shooting, let's offload his deal on a sucker"
This is Indy gauging the value of their players in what looks to be a sellers market.

Am I the only person who doesn't care where Drummond goes? He has none of the soft skills that helps a team win yet the Nets and Lakers fanbases are licking their chops.

heres the spot on hoopshype that brought this to my attention....
Atlanta has discussed deals for Malcolm Brogdon, but Brogdon’s contract (he is owed $44 million over the next two seasons) and injury history make a deal unlikely. – via Chris Mannix @ Sports Illustrated
yeah if indy is asking for a "cash out" deal it doesnt sound like teams are going to be interested. id wager atlanta offered a deal centered around bogdanovich....indy said no....and atlanta said ok and hung up.
brogdon can be had in meh for meh deals. he aint some big asset or needle mover
