Awesome game though.

Put a few hours into it this weekend, super fun game and the franchise mode with legends League is cool.

I ended up turning the ego down to 10 as I learned hitting and I'm up to 20 currently. My pitching is way ahead of my hitting, not sure I ever want full control over fielding so I might have to start adjusting individual ego levels. I'm old and enjoy some edibles before video games so I probably will never get too high on ego, old reflexes probably can't handle it lol.

For $10 I highly recommend.

I can't remember where I ended up with the egos, but I definitely set each aspect individually because like you said, certain parts of my game were far ahead of other parts. It's a really great game; feels like a spiritual successor to the Backyard Baseball series but modernized.

I haven't played it in awhile now, but I had created a league of 30 teams where I fully customized all the logos, stadiums, etc. and got to really immerse myself in the universe I had created.

It's easily surpassed MLB The Show for me as my go-to baseball game. It obviously isn't as realistic but it's simply a lot of fun.
It's a shame EA bought them because I feel like the original creators made some smart decisions. Going all in on an arcade feel vs trying to battle more real sims like The Show was smart. All the customization is great and adds a modern feel to a retro design.

Legends mode is cool, it's a shame Prince Fielder isn't in the game. Also wish the had a HR derby mode.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Yeah, I'm curious what this team ultimately does next. All I know is they dropped their final SMB4 patch and said EA has them working on something "new and exciting" and they'll be in touch.

12 hours into Metaphor and I am now bopping around on a giant robot ostrich thing. 10/10 game.

Like 4 year old post, I've played the game off and on with my kids, but the Ripsnorter level on Sackboy is one of the most fun/ridiculous challenges I've ever taken on. Finally effing did it. Now it feels easy. Those who know know.

Extremely fun game overall with younger kids but also keep dad/mom interested.

I love Nioh, Nioh 2, and Wo Long. Have put insane hours into all three. But man, they're exhausting. I went back to Wo Long to replay the game, and it's so much fun and so deep. I got to around level 140 (final missions in the first difficulty are at level 100). I looked up some build guides (ones that haven't been nerfed in the last year, at least), though, and just about all I find now are for level 500, or NG++++.

That's entirely too much time to put into these games.

Undisputed is a great new boxing game (for some reason Ive always loved boxing but never got in to MMA). Graphics are top notch. In ring action is fun from the start but nuanced enough where you will learn stuff every bout. They have a lot of great all time boxers (Ali, Marciano, Joe Louis) but not a lot of greats from the 70s-00s (no Hearns, Duran, Tyson, Holifield, etc). Strong recommend for fans of boxing. Pass for those who don’t. The last “Fight Night” was an all time video game for me. This is about 4/5 of that game, with great graphics. Lots of fun to use Tyson Fury.

One of my friends is a crazy boxing fan and has been playing all the alphas, betas, etc. of this game for years now. He's so pumped about it. Shame the career mode sounds like it's just a text-based kinda thing, but kinda to be expected given this isn't a AAA game. It really does look excellent when everything is working smoothly.

Haven't been much of a COD player in about 15 years, but Black Ops 6 arrived on Game Pass so I'm giving it a shot, and it's kind of wowing me. Only interested in the campaign but it's pretty fun, and the whole presentation feels extremely polished and next-gen. I don't see myself doing multiplayer, but Zombies seems like it'll be a fun mode.

I use them too often to ever say that they blow. Probably my most used gaming site outside of Youtube.

For every game I've played that they have a wiki for, I find them to be not maintained/updated, sometimes straight-up wrong, and they just drive you there with all of their cross-linking, ads, and twitch pop-ups for revenue. They don't care to maintain any of it because they're getting exactly what they want anyways. I also think their builds are often carelessly thrown together and not actually played/validated.

I think they're actually banned from some gaming subreddits

Oh yea, I made the mistake of mentioning them on a Dark Souls reddit once and hooooooo boy :o

This is the one I mostly care about. I'm still going to have a healthy dose of skepticism, but I'm encouraged by how much he liked it, going so far as to say they 'knocked [the lore] out of the park.' Might be enough for me to bite and buy it right away.

Apple is releasing/announcing new products all week. iMacs came today.

But random question, does anyone know what Apple Intelligence actually is or why anyone should care? I can't recall another product I've heard about more that's done less to explain why I should actually buy it.

I'm someone who still defends Andromeda, but BioWare has been dead for a while now. Dragon Age has never really stood out to me when better options were available (Skyrim, Witcher, BG3, etc.). Inquisition was solid and a notable upgrade from 2, but Veilguard just looks more of the same. I'll only regain some faith if they somehow manage to NOT butcher the Mass Effect revival.

TLOU Part 1 (the PS5 remaster) was stupid at the full $70 price when it came out, but now that it's free on PS+, I'm enjoying the hell out of it. It's genuinely a terrific remaster and it looks amazing, glad I can appreciate it now that I don't have to pay for it lol.

It does make me wonder when, if ever, Naughty Dog is going to try a new IP or if they're even capable of doing a new IP on the level of Uncharted or TLOU. Like a sci-fi game in space or something at TLOU/Uncharted level of quality could be unreal, but I genuinely don't know if they have the same talent in the company to accomplish something like that.

I didn't bring a controller with me on the road, so decided to check-out C:S2 this past weekend as I found playing Metaphor with KB&M painful. Pleased to see that, with coincidental timing, a huge, free asset pack just dropped which adds 430 new French-themed buildings. Looks like German and UK-themed packs are due up before EOM November, too. Starting to pull back some good will from their player base after the horrendous launch.

I guess we are built different because I thought metaphor is easy to play on mnk

DA Origins was a generational game, but the rest have been bad/underwhelming. Inquisition if I really try is okay. I also have zero hope for Veilguard. I'll be pleasantly surprised if the feedback is actually good from the playerbase.
