Should the Bucks hire Jason Kidd (as coach pg 43)?

I think the CEO of the Fortune 500 company I work for is incompetent, so next week I'm going in to demand his job. I've been working there for 4 months, do you think my chances are good?

So has it been clarified if he would actually be the GM or just the Head of Basketball Operations - which I assume would be a new position for our organization. So there very well may be a chance that Hammond (and Drew for that matter) stays on board, but Hammond would ultimately report to Kidd. However if Kidd wants the GM role too, then Hammond is obviously gone. This is all very crazy.

I find it hilarious that the guy who claimed to want nothing to do with Exum because of his unknown qualities wants to give total control of the organization to somebody with zero front office experience.

I get ur point but Billy Kings entire NBA accomplishment list is a joke on it's own. Kidds credentials as a player almost outweighs anything King has done. exactly. John Hammond was a key executive for the Pistons that won an improbably championship...pretty good exec experience I would say. How has that turned out for us?

No chance Sloan would go to Milwaukee. I'm in SLC right now, Sloan is discussed often. Zero chance from what we hear around here.

What makes this even worse is that Lasry and Kidd know each other. It gives the impression that the only reason Lasry is considering this is because he's being sweet talked by his friend into doing it, not because he actually thought he was right for the job, which does not inspire confidence at all.

The bottom line is Hammond and Billy King suck as GM's. If I was in Kidd's place I would ask to be promoted over King as well. I give him the job today over those guys and most of the other candidates. Swing for a homerun with the next GM and coach as well. We want to pick top 5 again next summer anyway.
Kidd was the ultimate team player and would build a team the right way. If Knight stays on the team he won't see one second at PG when Kidd is in control. He may be a bad guy?, but he proved once Lopez was gone he wasn't a bad coach and understands winning basketball. We know he would shake things up and wisely tried to deal Lopez for Sanders last week. Now the Bucks would have a guy in charge young players, especially guards look up to along with 2 of the richest owners. It could actually be a chance to move up towards the middle of the pack as a free agent destination. It appears the relationship with Lasry/Edens is great and them staying out of the way is the most important thing, and the main reason for failure with the previous owner.

From what I understand part of Kidd's power play was to surround himself with his own people, would make sense he would do the same here. Would be interesting to hear who is people are.

I think we should make Chris Brown VP of Marketing. Sure, he's a piece of **** and not qualified at all, but can you imagine the excitement among our youth? That will get the arena done. It's all about da ticket sales.

Exactly. People spinning them being friends as a positive makes no sense. It's a negative if anything. It's a lot harder to fire your friend than some random.
