Late to the party but this is **** amazing. I ALMOST cried when I woke up this morning and saw the tweet, i'm so happy. This is huge for Milwaukee and the Bucks, with all of the outgoing picks we have on the line, him leaving would have been twice as bad as normal. **** yes!

Kudos to Voodoo also, said it from the start and never wavered. A lot of people look really foolish in the last few days for starting to turn on Giannis, tensions were high but some quick post deletes would be happening I would think

Miami was one of the rumored destinations for Antetokounmpo (even though he said if he left Milwaukee, but Heat star Jimmy Butler said he was happy to see the Greek Freak staying with the Bucks because he wants to be challenged by the best (via Local 10 news in Miami).

I really do think you have to give credit to Edens and Lasry here. As much as we rag on Lasry, he got it done. Given the stakes and despite being under a lot of pressure, they convinced Giannis to stay. This was a franchise altering decision. Losing him would have been devastating to the franchise, but also the city. Well done boys.

So let's make some things straight with simple facts.

Giannis:

1) Has undeniable pure LOVE for Milwaukee.
2) He is 100% LOYAL to the Franchise.
3) He is a Batman/Jordan type of player. He chose the hard way instead of the easy way like Lebron, KD, AD and others.
4) He did not lie in anything he said to the press.

So to all the doubters many of them also in this board.

Glad you're happy as well ALL are but this is way too much. If you follow the NBA and have followed this team specifically for as long as many have, it would have been very difficult to not have doubts.

This is the best place to express those doubts.

I literally don't feel dumb or like less of a fan at all for feeling that way.

If Antetokounmpo had given some assurance that he was likely to re-sign in Milwaukee as a free agent, perhaps indicating that he’d be back so long as their season didn’t end before, say, the conference finals, then sources say Bucks officials likely would have taken their chances and moved ahead with the partnership. But if there were no assurances given, with Antetokounmpo simply stating that he planned on being a free agent and that he’d figure out his future when that time arrived, it’s clear the Bucks would have seriously considered whether they needed to take trade calls on him.

It's all speculation. The whole article was a lot of speculation with regard to what Giannis may or may not have done.

All of the meetings/timeline stuff was interesting though.
