No I saw it on Twitter. They’re all going to the Lakers and Warriors and the Lakers and Warriors aren’t giving anything up to get them. It doesn’t work in the CBA at all but ask any Lakers or Warriors fan.

He would be great for the Bucks but the problem is his salary is so small that he is great fit for every other contending team. He could garner up to a late 1st or serval 2nd if there is a bidding war.

If I'm the Bucks and could get a 1st for multiple seconds from Bobby I could see them doing a 3 team deal if the Sixers start selling but ATL and CHI are bottoming out while 5he Sixers climb the ranks. If they're smart they do what the Nets did and sell off players to get their tank on.

There's a weird cult of opinion on this board sometimes. This would be a great deal for the Bucks but the Pacers probably wouldn't be interested in anything were offering.

Mathurin is a good player.

I don't know if he is good but he is still developing and would definitely fill a roll with the Bucks. He could slide in at the 2 over AJax and move Ajax to the back up 4. If the Bucks could grab a rebounding center to go along with Mathurin they probably have enough pieces to not go all in on Lavine or Jimmy. Scoring wise he gives you what you want Khris to give you but so far he doesn't get many assists.

I still think they need to go this route. Use their assets to get multiple young players. Try to pick up a Mathurin, LaRavia, and Huff by using Bobby and the 1st/2nd 2031 picks. I personally would want Yabusele over Huff but is a cheap substitute.

Jimmy or Lavine and an athletic big. Then we have a shot.

It might honestly be a blow-it-up offseason if Horst and ownership think it’s not smart to go all in this year. I could definitely see us tinkering around the edges, maybe getting under the second apron, and then calling it a day.

The guys around Giannis and Dame (sometimes Dame too) aren’t consistent enough and they all have clear shortcomings that restrict both the team’s ceiling and their own personal play. A lot of players on the downturn of their career.

Championship teams need elite role players. We don’t have those anymore and we need to move on from most of our guys. That needs to happen during the deadline or this upcoming summer if we want to compete for a title in the near future.

If anyone watched tonight’s game and thinks “a good use of one of the last year’s of Giannis’ prime is to roll with this group of slow footed gentlemen around him” then I don’t know what to tell you.

Go get Lavine and Jalen Smith or go get Jimmy or go get Benedict. Just give Giannis and Dame some quickness around them or a defensive dog and they’ll blow people off the court.

A better third option would move everyone down the pecking order to a better spot.
Midds can still score when he gets to his spots but he can’t move out there. Same for Brook. Can still block shots at the rim but teams are attacking him like crazy.

They desperately need a wing to have a real Giannis at center lineup that doesn’t include Prince.

If they are willing to include the 2031 pick with minimal protections (top 1, 3, or 5) there is no way the Bulls would turn down Portis/Midds/PatC/Marjon /2031 1st for Lavine/JalenSmith
Bulls could bring in a third team to flip Portis to and get another pick out of it. They’d get out of the Lavine money a year earlier and have space for the 26 free agent class.

Then move Brook to the bench and go zone when he’s out there. Or flip Brook somewhere and try to get another switchable big back.

Something like this is the way forward.

LaVine isn’t fixing this bunko defense, not going to work. Team scored fine last night, there just isn’t any defense being played.

I know “healthy Middleton” is a tough bet, but you trade him only if you feel like you are getting a better player in return than “healthy Middleton”. Only Jimmy ticks that box. Get it done Horst. LaVine, Beal, Ingram etc trades create more problems than they solve.

Then we just chalk up the defensive performance as a “one game in January” thing, because aren’t we top 10 in defensive rating for the year?

you post what i have been posting the last 2-4 years ...
I am going full crazy here ... I am desperate enough to trade Khris and Brook for Ben Simmons. I am tripping , that a bit too far , but my frustration has gone off the charts far too

This a need we haven't filled for 4+ years...

There is no excuse ....

Guys guys forget about international... I am 1000% there alot in the G-League. If I start searching I am sure I will find 10-15 G-League athletic bigs.

Brook can’t play minutes unless there is another slow big on the court. He should be 20mpg at most. Watching him try to guard Barnes, Castle, and all these young guys on switches is brutal. We need youth or athleticism, I’d happily take Mathurin, Butler, Lavine, and a decent quicker big. Trying to play Midds, Brook, Bobby, Pat for meaningful minutes will kill us. The roster as it is will not work so might as well keep swinging for the fences.

Maybe I'm off base but I just don't see why the Pacers would move their 3rd option who's an efficient 17 PPG and only 22 years old. Especially when the return is Bobby Portis and a 1st 6 years from now.

Would love for it to happen but I'm just not seeing why for them.

Taking swing with Jimmy is the only chance this team has, nobody else
