If the plan would be to let him sit overseas for a year or two he could be an ideal pick. They’re gonna need roster spots and money.

Also really like the idea of someone like Sylla as a draft and stash.

If they are that strapped they would just trade Donte for a future 2nd round pick. Saves 4 million right there.

The obvious move is to avoid flushing that $8 million Frank has us blowing on Tucker.

Does Frank post here?

Grimes seems like an obvious 3&D+Boards guy . Bring him off the bench with Nwora

My list is down to 4 players at #31

Joe Wieskamp
Jaden Springer
Rokas Jokubaitis
Quentin Grimes

I will scout the top 20 draft to tell you who is the best player in this draft, who has superstar potential ... etc ...

I am not that sold on projected #1 Cade Cunningham ... stats look good but I am not sure they translate to the NBA level. He lacks of explosiveness but his IQ is good and his mental toughness, more like a Batum guy to me.

Alot of names posted here, I liked but looking at the details, I saw some big flaws in either their size, their agility in terms of that they probably can't guard any position due to slow feet etc and shooting ability.

Kind of like a defense-first Jamal Murray.

Sleighter Brogdon is what comes to mind for me. From a pure athleticism standpoint only.

This is all why I think he has a good chance to be on the board at our pick. He doesn’t do anything at an elite level, but he’s very good at EVERYTHING. Some prospects have elite talents that you’re willing to accept their faults, but Springer doesn’t really have any faults. I like the Brogdon analogy a lot because they both check ALL of the boxes. Unlike Brogdon though is this kid is one of the youngest in the draft. Once Butler and Duece are off the board the kid really makes the most sense but I bet a lot of teams pass on him because he isn’t flashy, just like Brogdon.

He is projected at #28, #27 , #18 in Mock Draft sites... I really wish we could somehow trade up 2-3 spots if he is still there.
Young Athletic SG, good size , only 18 years old and already a hard worker.

Yeah since saying he is who I would pick yesterday I haven't seen anyone else change my mind after doing some more scouting. ESPN (Giovany) has him mocked at #30. Crazy that the draft is in two days! Having a summer league will be nice.

Been saying it. Can't defend at all but so good with a live dribble you live with all of it.

Easily the best pure penetrator in this draft, but he needs to dramatically improve his jump shot, and he might have trouble finishing because of short arms. He's a fun player to watch. There was a great line on him - He makes defenders look like cones that he's going around in a drill.

He's a long-shot, but I hope he makes it because he and his family live about 2 miles from me in Gaithersburg, MD.

I don't think it's impossible for him to make it to us. One of the PGs will; just a matter of which one. There's currently 8-10 PGs that are regularly mocked in the first round. In all likelihood, at least one of two of those will slip to 31.

I don't expect Cooper to be the one that does, but we're going to have a talented PG fall in our lap.
