You are talking about 207 regular season minutes and 58 playoff minutes. He just needs to be a better option at C than Thannies or Semi during the regular season. In the playoffs, the trio of Brook, Giannis, and Portis can handle the C spot.

Can't understand how anyone can not like this move. What is there to lose?

Cheick should have a 2way spot for sure

I'm not watching G-League games so I have no idea what's actually going on but how was he only playing 19 minutes off the bench in his last game for the Pistons going 5/6 with 10 boards, 3 steals and 4 blocks? He literally has a FG% of 78 over the season. There's 0 reason he should have to go through the G-League for a roster spot.

I desperately hope, for the Bucks' sake, that we are the team that revive's Boogie's career.

I think it's fine but imo there are more deserving players out there.

I will be optimistic for Boogie because he was once good.

My optimism on players like Semi is completely gone. That was stupid of me to think he could do anything.

We could use another big even if Brook were healthy.

Semi has underwhelmed and Mamu isn’t ready.

Boogie isn’t PJ but his size and offensive potential brings something different at least.

Not worried about his attitude either. No risk deal since it’s non-guaranteed.

This.

I'd also rather give a total unknown a shot.

This is a worse waste of a roster spot than Thanasis. Hope I'm wrong, but all indications show this is silly.

Not about to argue any of that other than following points:

- he won't see a minute in the playoffs outside maybe round 1
- terrible is a relative term when you consider we're using Semi and Thanasis as the baseline comparator.

We're actually not using Semi or Thanasis. We have a need, and center isn't it. We need an athletic back up 4.

When has Bud ever shown faith in a total unknown? He hates young/inexperienced players. To sign someone other than a vet would have been a waste of a roster spot imo.

I'm not sure what you've been watching, but they desperately need a 5 with Brook out.

VORP. He’s been watching the VORP.

If we need an athletic 4 to get more minutes, let me introduce you to this guy named Giannis, who has been playing C due to the desperate need at that position.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

I’m glad they’re bringing in a body to take some of the beating off Giannis but doubt he plays more than a couple minutes a game and won’t finish the season on the roster.

He’s been done for a couple years now and can barely move but he’s a big body that could score in bunches and provide some rebounding.

This for sure means Brook is a ways away from returning.

Gonna be really tough to repeat without brook. I'm hoping it's not one of those career ending injuries but I remember my doc saying, the taller you are, the more likely you'll have chronic issues with your lower back and brook is one of the biggest human beings walking this planet.

As for cousins, at this point in his career, would it be wrong to say he's basically mamu with more experience?

This sums up my thoughts. Another big was a need even if Brook is 100%

I don't think cousins will provide anything of substance but the risk is minimal.

He doesn't. If he did the last 7 teams or whatever would have signed him for the min.

Counterpoint: It took a while for Derrick Rose to stick to a team as well. So obviously this is going to work out maybe.

I'm probably forgetting something but I don't think boogie had anything unforgivable like Rose alledgedly had.

Im definitely less of a self centered ahole than I was in my early 20s and I wasn't a superstar NBA player at 20. He went through a few years of humbling. Not expecting much but willing to take a flyer

No, Mamu is super soft for his size, he offers no resistance in the paint.

Boogie definitely has his skeletons - he was accused of threatening to kill one of his baby mamas and brandishing a gun at her. Up to you to decide if that's as bad as Rose's alleged gang rape.

the 3 men (one of whom was rose) admitted to having sex with this person. where they disagreed, was on the consent. i find that to be an interesting part of this case.
