That said, there aren't many great options for a Jennings sign and trade with Detroit anyways, so I'm not too eaten up about it.

As long as the end result is no Jennings, at least Hammond's offseason wouldn't be as abject of a failure as it otherwise could be.

I think it's more likely that Jennings agent spoon-fed Gery some info in hopes of getting something going for his client.

Not that any other heights and weights are accurate in the NBA, but Jennings is not 6'1. I have met him and was shocked that he wasn't taller than I am. My brother, who was there, is between 6'1 and 6"2 was clearly taller. I am 5'11 and 1/2 and he definitely was not any taller than I was. I know they tend to exaggerate heights and weights, but Jennings is more like 5"11 in reality.

Another guy who isn't his listed height is TJ Ford. Listed at 6'0, when I met him, he was a bit shorter than I was, seemed more like 5'9 to 5'10.

Then what is Greg Jennings? 5'9"? I've seen Brandon and Greg stand next to each other Brandon is visibly taller than him.

It's funny you bring that up. Greg Jennings used to go to a lot of Bucks games. He would sit dead center court on the floor, my season tickets are 4 rows behind that. He's TINY. So no that doesn't surprise me. Greg Jennings is only listed at 5'11, in which he's more likely 5'9.

Well that's that then I guess lol. I thought NFL combine heights were more accurate.

Toronto just amnestied Kleiza.

Would we be willing to take on Landry Fields if that is what it took to swap Jennings for Lowry?

Not sure what Fields is like on the court these days, but of course if we are to win now then we are in desperate need of someone to take some minutes at SF.

Awesome deal for Milwaukee but Omer wouldn't be happy coming to Milwaukee if he was upset about the idea of playing behind Howard.

Also doubt that Morey would give up that much for Jennings and Ily, maybe if Canaan or Kostas weren't in the deal.

And they may be serious about not moving Asik.

Welp, looks like Dumars said at the Billups presser that they haven't talked about Jennings.

Yeah, cause GM's always talk about rumors at press conferences and confirm them as true.

I'm well aware, just posting what I found. Just find it funny that this thing keeps seemingly going back and forth. It's a will they, won't they of sorts.

Yeah, I was thinking that myself. Would have to watch the actual press conference to know for sure what he said.

Gay and Mayo already failed playing together once. See no reason to bring them back together.

Don't have much interest in Derozan's contract either. I'm sure his buddy Brandon wouldn't report good things about Milwaukee to him as well.

I could see Toronto having a minimal amount of interest in Jennings though, especially if they are looking to drop other salary as part of the deal. Hence, why I broached Landry Fields.

What kind of contract do we think Jennings will be looking at in a sign and trade at this point?

I could see it being for only a few years and at only slightly above the MLE at this point.

Bringing Jennings back for 6-7 mil a year wouldn't be the worst thing ever. It wouldn't be ideal, but it would be better than just letting him walk I think.

I see only 3 possible explanations for the lack of interest league wide in Jennings:

-The league realizes he sucks/way overvalues himself so they have no interest (75% chance)

-Other GMs are concerned that giving an Offer Sheet to Jennings could tick off Hammond, and they want to stay on his good side so he will call them to make trades in the future (20% chance)

-They do not want MIL to match a multi year offer sheet, so they expect him to sign QO and then they pursue him next year as an UFA (5%)

To me at this point, it seems like all signs are that there is a fairly strong direction to move on without Jennings. He's almost a last option if you will. This is pure gut feel based off of stuff I read.

I would say #1 for sure. I don't think #2 is really a factor and #3 maybe a little bit. Part of the percentage has to be some teams just can't sign him due to the luxury tax, unable to sign n trade, etc. So that eliminates some of the market right there.

You're talking about the same front office that saw two undersized guards (Ellis and Curry) fail together and then paired Jennings/Ellis together and expected it to work great.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

If Jennings really wants out of Milwaukee he isn't going to sign an offer sheet that we'll match. If he were an UFA I'm sure he would of found a home by now.
