I wouldn't mind seeing a lot of late game narrow losses next year. Compete until halfway through the fourth. Then bring in Mayo to shut it down. Get us right back into the lotto. In 2-3 years we will have a heck of a core.

Hell no do I want to watch Perkins get burn on this team. Hell ****** no. Screw the draft lottery next season. This is a crucial moment to put an exciting young team on the floor. I'm not watching that perpetually scowling scrub.

im saying they will trade the pick to either Utah who will then draft parker or to philly who will take wiggins.I really think the cavs want embiid and will trade down to somewhere around 3-5 to get him.Just my take.
Now if they keep pick it will be wiggins

Agree. I don't mind if we're terrible next year, so long as the young guys are getting all the burn and taking their lumps. No need for vet scrubs ruining our juju.

There were some reports that speculated Utah moving up to take Wiggins. So much smokescreens going on right now. I'm so pumped for Thursday.

Yeah, tanking is completely fine but I don't want to put cancerous veterans like Perkins on the floor for significant minutes. That is insane. This sentiment isn't very common around here, but at some point you need to put a team with chemistry and a decent culture on the floor.

A lineup of Wolters/Wiggins/Giannis/Henson + whatever other picks will be janky enough as it is next year. I want Okafor too but that isn't the way to do it.

Like I said, I'd buy Perkins out. Given that we would clear a year of Ersan in the deal, and our owners are loaded, and the fact Perkins wouldn't want to be here, I think it happens very easily.

Exactly. If the deal is Ersan for Perkins/21, then buy him out ASAP.

The problem with that is that I really doubt he gets bought out. His reputation as a tough guy, championship in Boston, time with OKC would get him kept around til at least the deadline. That could get ugly. I'd rather deal Ily straight up to Phoenix for 27.

I would admire Hinkie's balls if they took Embiid at 3. The risk that would be on their books with him and Noel...

I said it in GoE's mock thread... I think there's a good chance he's still going top 3. Someone's going to "surprise" everyone and take him.

Nah, I am. I wouldn't even take a flier on Jabari with a late first.

Parker at 7? I hope you're joking.

I could definitely see Philadelphia taking him. Hinkie is the only GM of the top three that is entrenched in the front office for a few years while they rebuild. He can afford to take the gamble and wait on Embiid.

You guys that don't think Parker is a top three player in this draft and the second or third best prospect since Anthony Davis are in for a rude awakening.

At this point, I'm fine with either Wiggins or Parker. Excited.

I think they will go with Wiggins. Wiggins can play the 3, he is good in transition, and will be a good target cutting for Irving. Parker almost demands the ball on offense as a #1 scoring threat, this wouldn't play as well with Irving as someone like Wiggins. They will improve both on offense and defense, which is too big to pass up. If they take Parker that is what like 5 PFs on their roster? Including the #1 pick last year?

I don't like Parker's game for what the Bucks are trying to do, but in the right role -- as a stretch 4 -- he can probably be a top-50 impact player. Of course, if the defense never comes, then he's like Ryan Anderson, with the potential good of his offense eradicated by the defense.

I certainly don't begrudge you for not wanting to take a flier on him. I think his floor is significantly lower than the consensus.

I like Bog/Staus/Ander all before him for the Bucks, however.

Yet Bill studied a lot of Giannis last year. I think he just no longer had the time with his new gig on ABC during the post-season.
