Hornets didn't make a qualifying offer to Bismack Biyambo, he's now unrestricted. My number one center target right now. Turns 23 in August, covers a lot of ground defensively & has the strength/bulk we lack. Comes at a more attractive price with plenty of time to improve. Can speak French with Inglis & Spanish with GV/Jorge.

Biyombo would be a nice addition. Odd that Charlotte is letting him walk eh? What is M.J. doing?

Makes sense they wouldn't tender him, his QO is over 5 million and he's a limited minute specialist.

Crazy how little patience a few fans have after making the playoffs last season. The one move away from being legit talk is nuts.

We're probably better in the long run by doing nothing but re-signing our own guy in Middleton on a reasonable contract than throwing money at other teams second tier "stars".

If the Rockets can make a legitimate deal for LaMarcus Aldridge, I think the Bucks should get involved and take back Motiejunas and Papanikolaou (or different guys).

I think the Bucks can be a good third team in that deal.

Biyombo is a two-pump chump. Throw up a couple pump fakes, he's jumping prematurely and fouling you to leave the game. If it's not for that reason it's from lack of conservation. His production is in no way sustainable in an expanded role.

I know people liked Bismack 4 years ago, but stat wise, he hasn't really developed in anyway other than being the worst free throw shooter of all time to just worst free throw shooter in the league.

Dude averages 3.7 fouls per 36 for his entire career (including a season with 27 minutes and less than 3 fouls a game), pretty hard to say there's no way he could stay on the court because of that. He's not exactly Larry Sanders or something in that regard.

Bismack was the guy I would have had the Bucks select at #7 in 2011 if they hung onto that pick.

That said, he hasn't improved much. The other thing is that when you see him in person, you realize he's small. He seems like this Dikembe type guy but in reality he's about 6-9 with shoes.

I'd probably pass unless he took a 3/$15 type deal, but even then I'd rather go the Koufas/KOQ route.

I like Biyambo as a poor man's Jordan. Similar skillsets at a greatly reduced cost. Just doesn't have nearly the same physical size.

Dudley was on the radio and indicated that if the market is there for him he wants to opt out.

Hill would be a good backup on our club.

How do we benefit that way exactly? We going to get a discernibly better draft pick to add a probable starter otherwise? Going to be a bigger hit in subsequent fa markets? Can this money merely be saved to be used in the future? Barring a 4-5 year (near) max contract where the player gets injured or turns out to be a net negative, there is no real downside (unless you're an owner), it's only upside. Not using the cap space in some significant way would likely be the mistake. There's only downside there.

Since I just read that Grantland article whatever happened to the love for O'Quinn. Lots on this board had him tabbed as a sneaky good FA signing. I see his play really fell off second half of this season but is that a huge concern? Might be a cheap, lightning in the bottle type of signing.

Would love Biyombo here. He would add absolutely nothing to our offense, probably put even more pressure on Giannis/Jabari to step up..but that defense would be nasty.

I wouldn't have an issue going 3 years 15 mil, last year being 50 percent guaranteed or a team option for BB.

Yeah i've seen that but if its such a done deal why is he bothering to visit other teams? I think if we get him in the door we can sell him that we are building a young core with a future, not a mish-mash of misfit parts like the Knicks.

The same reason every free agent visits other teams. You don't just talk to or visit one team to get the best offer.
