I suppose you mean Printezis, good player (but old) . He has good post skills with a very unorthodox style

he was drafted by the Spurs in 2007

Who subsequently began the many trade offs of his NBA rights, until reaquiring them.

Anybody else up watching Greece vs Jordan? I'm guessing this is going to get ugly.

Giannis just slashes through the lane and the Chinese fans go crazy. MVP chants at the line.

Meaningless game, he gets a pass for playing poorly. Although it's interesting that Middleton gets ripped in the other thread for a poor game in a different meaningless game :)

It's sad that 10 years later I'm still saying the same thing about this team: they're not gonna get very far because they can't shoot.
Broken record.

Beno Udrih, Joakim Noah, Nene, Nikola Pekovic after a certain point.

Udrih was not on speaking terms with several of his teammates, Noah has been born and raised in the US and has no european sports culture, Nene has always played in the WCs and Olympics when healthy, and Pekovic only missed 1 eurobasket in order to sign the Timberwolves contract ;)

Pekovic stopped playing for Montenegro yesrs before he signed his contract. Suspect it had more to due with his relationship to Belgrade. Similarly to his countrymen Sasha Pavlovic, who shunned FIBA.

I remembered Brazilian fans booing Nene for past absences but he did suit up more than I realized. Udrih and Noah excuses are not valid.

Also Steven Adams, most of the top African guys through the years. I could go on and on.

Africa is a different beast, the stories that come out from the football teams at each tournament are unbelievable.
Pekovic played in 1 of the 2 tournaments Montenegro took part in, and after the '13 one he said that he would suit up again for the NT. Then he broke down and became an underworld boss though :P
How does Noah having been born and grown up in NY from a French father, swedish mother and Cameroonian grandfather didn't affect his commitment to the NT, I wonder? Greek US-born players who don't play in Greece usually skip competitions too, it's logical.

Calathes plays every year. Koufos played a bunch. Noah played once.

Calathes has spent most of his career here though; Koufos has played only once since '11 or so, Dorsey played only once so far, Bramos hasn't accepted the invitation since 2013, and Mitrou-Long will probably pick Canada instead :)

Holy **** Skourtopoulos ( greek coach ) is even worse than Kidd, wtf are those rotations and lineups the guy let Calathes play straight 14 minutes made almost no changes and watches us getting schooled by Dominican Republic.

How the **** we manage to get such incompetent coaches in our NT when we got TOP tier coaches left and right on best european teams...

You do not experiment in the last tournamnet when the world cup starts in a week, you finish up your rotations and stuff like every other team does.

He experimented in Acropolis and besides, how muhc experiment you need to get to see that some specific lineups do not work, what kind of rotation has Calathes playing 14 straight minutes?

Come on man. This guy is Missas v 2.0 as he was his assistant.
