If they do land Lowry, I'll be fine with it so long as they give up Achiuwa and Robinson to do so.

Dragic was so good for them in the bubble. He seems to fit perfectly there. Is Lowry really a needle mover for them or did Dragic just play way over his head at the worst time for us?

Dragic is still very good but availability is a huge problem. Misses dozens of games a year at this point... was great all playoffs and then got hurt again in game 1 of the Finals.

Yep, they were pretty lucky against the Bucks. The Bucks helped create Miami's luck too, of course. But I don't really fear Miami if they trade Dragic for Lowry because it essentially just replaces someone who played at least as well as Lowry normally does in the playoffs with, well, Lowry - and an old Lowry at that. And I don't think Ariza is replacing what Crowder did for them last year, though he used to be very good.

Philly would be better with Lowry, but they'll miss Danny Green a little more than they think if that's the trade. And Lowry will take the ball out of Ben's hands a little, which makes the whole slightly less than the sum of the parts or whatever.

I'm totally okay with other contenders getting better. Make the Bucks earn it. It will just be more satisfying. No more coasting and getting full of themselves because of a gaudy regular season record. I agree with Giannis; stay under the radar. The Bucks added a lot of nice veteran pieces without even giving up anyone who was helping them the last two seasons (Pau, Marvin, Hill, Mirotic, Tucker plus cheap off-season guys like Wes, RoLo, and Korver) and we saw that even when you're already a favorite and you get better on paper, it's still no guarantee of success whatsoever.
Wut we've got here is... faaailure... to communakate.

Apparently the Sixers are balking at sending Maxey, Thybulle, and 2 FRPs to Toronto for Lowry. Good.

The sooner people realize the bubble was a complete fluke and not even a real postseason, the sooner we can stop treating Miami like they were ever going to be a serious title contender with their current core. Riley's always looking to be proactive and Lowry would be a pretty good fit there, but I'd only worry if they somehow acquired Beal.

If Miami has to trade Dragic for Lowry that is fine by me. Dragic absolutely owns us.

Yeah, we shouldn't be thinking of Miami as a .500 team (18-12 when Butler plays, which he's much more likely to in the playoffs), but we shouldn't be treating them as part of the top group, either (18-12 when Butler plays). Take them seriously but don't worry about them.

I'd hold out for that package though if I were Toronto. That would be a great haul for them.

I bet it'll be something about a terrible player being not terrible.

Yea, and if I’m Toronto, I’m not trading Lowry just to trade him. I’m not convinced Toronto is this bad. They’re playing 72 road games and they had a rough patch due to COVID. If I don’t like the Lowry packages, I’m keeping him and re-signing him, he is the greatest Raptor of all time. I’m then hoping that we’re playing in Toronto next year and things get back to normal.

I mean I'm not saying the Sixers get some amazing deal value-wise by doing that, but they scare me a hell of a lot more in the playoffs if they land Lowry.

It'd be a brilliant Ujiri move - especially since the alternative to trading Lowry is either losing him in free agency or over-paying him in free agency.

Hopefully Miami overpays for Lowry, includes Dragic who is then bought out so we can sign him.

Great move by Orlando. Unless both those firsts are like, Top-20 protected, what the hell are the Bulls doing?

Only the Bulls would be buyers at 19-24. Sounds like ‘11 Bucks.

Bulls are going to have some nice assets to trade away next season for their inevitable rebuild.
