Pat's revolutionizing the "catch the ball above your head and shoot" form for spot-up shooters. Worth a max.

If Kyrie goes to Lakers and KD demands a trade......

Jrue/Middleton/picks for KD/Ben Simmons anyone?
Jrue/Middleton for KD/Joe Harris?
Jrue/Middleton/Lopez/Pat/Allen/whoever the heck else is needed for KD/Simmons/Harris?

Part of me says no because this team gels so well together and KD can just walk in a year....the other part says yes because KD and Giannis together destroy the NBA

Part of me thinks the whole “Nets will implode” stuff is crap made up by LAL writers. But then again, this narrative would make the league money, so maybe it happens. Just not sure the Bucks have the right assets though, since the Nets would then be in total rebuild with youth mode.

I don't think you should have to give up both. KD would be demanding it, so you won't have to give full value. Something like Hill and Midds gets you to the right money. Toss them a future pick. I actually think GSW gave BKN a 1st rd pick along with Durant when they traded him to BKN

Assets not there for KD, I don’t think Brooklyn is going to deal him unless he publicly demands it.

Some kids in 20 years gonna be talking about how the Bucks could've had Jerami Grant for their 2025 first if only we hadn't given it to Portland.

If he (KD) wants to come play with Giannis then you offer Brooklyn their choice of Jrue or Middleton, Hill, whoever you draft at 24, 2028 unprotected 1st, 2029 pick swap, and whatever 2nd's you can scrounge together, then cry as you wake up from your dream because Milwaukee might be last on the list of destinations that Durant would ever wanna finish his career.

He'll always get flack for joining Steph at GS, even if he secretly would love to play next to Freak I don't think his psyche could take the inevitable barrage of the basketball world crushing him for joining another generational superstar in his prime.

1.) I agree that KD probably does not want to come to Milwaukee, however to be able to play with Giannis might persuade him
2.) I agree that we probably don't have the assets to obtain him, however if Kyrie forces his way to LA and KD wants out...then BKN may just accept as many picks and as much cap relief as possible. So you get other teams involved who will trade expiring deals and picks for Middleton/Jrue/whoever else you need.
3.) Even if all of this is possible you need Giannis to sign off on it, if not then I am good. But if KD wants to come here and Giannis is up for it, I do it in a heartbeat and fill in ring chasers as they all run to Milwaukee.
4.) and most importantly, I just want to dream for a second

KD wanting to play with GIannis would be very KD-like.

By that I mean, just plain weird.

Not sure how it would be weird if KD wanted to play with Giannis. Giannis and KD would feast

I can’t see a superstar asking out to Milwaukee, ever. Every top guy asking out usually ends up in a desirable market even if they don’t get traded to one right away like Kawhi, George, butler.

I know KD seems insecure but I get the feeling that’s he’s accepted his top 15 atg ranking and unlikeable, villain legacy. I doubt he cares about winning enough to leave nyc for Milwaukee.

Lol other than the "worth a max" statement this is really what's made him so valuable. He was the only one who could get a clean look off their hand in the Celtics series.

It's sort of like the perimeter guard equivalent of "always keep the ball high on an offensive rebound" approach. Re-sign Bobby and have Pat teach him that release, it'll shave 3 seconds off of Bobby's windup.

I mean, not everybody is capable of speeding up their motion like that and maintaining their accuracy. The whole "catch the ball at eye level and shoot all in one motion" has to make every shooting coach's eyes bleed. Credit to Pat, but I don't think people realize how insanely tough that is to master.

I’m sure there are others but the only two I regularly see doing it are Klay and Pat. It’s insanely tough.

I've done it a few times it works more if your shot is already a "set" shot and doesn't require a lot of jumping. A lot of shooters use more legs to help them get arc and distance. I imagine shooting coaches hate it since that type of shot essentially neuters 50% of a normal shooting motion.

Chris Paul, Westbrook, AD, Lillard, etc. have in some way shape or form expressed some level of interest in playing with Giannis. Our getting a rim only improved our standing in the league. With Giannis in the fold, there aren't a lot of teams that offer better situations.
