You are getting too worried about this Kanter thing.

For the Bucks to be a true contender, they still need to clean the clock of some team in a trade. Acquire a young guy with potential who then develops into an all-star on the Bucks, ala what the Suns did last year with Eric Bledsoe.

Is Kanter going to do that? Probably not, but he's got the potential to do it. So I'm fine if he's the best option to roll the dice on, because we need have a move like this hit to make the leap as a team.

Middleton has higher upside than Kanter

Kanter is a blackhole offensively and can't defend, you can hope a guy can learn and overcome one of those issues and cover it up if you have to but both? Nah. The guy isn't very smart, he isn't very coachable, he is empty stats and will destroy this team. Giving up Middleton for him would be one of the worst trades of all time.

Stop it. We aren't trading Middleton for Kanter. That rumor doesn't even exist. Henson/1st. Middleton is NOT linked to Kanter.

That is how trades usually work. All teh stuff that gets rejected gets leaked then...... BOOM!! a trade happens that hadn't been leaked.

Even folks who aren't completely sold on Knight's role with the Bucks should remember that point. That was a home-run trade for the Bucks.

Jay--no one here is advocating trading Middleton for him or saying that would happen.

I agree with Jay. Why do we have to roll the dice right now? I want to sit tight with most of our roster and see how they grow during a playoff run. The main players getting minutes are so incredibly young and are still improving.

Honestly, if Kanter or Reggie come here the game threads will be full of frustration.

The real winner would be Knight who would immediately be replaced on the **** list by RJ and or Kanter

Trade 2: Mayo and Ersan and maybe pick or 2 to SIxers for Jason Richardson and Krilenko Expirings.

We get PG and half-decent C and then just dump RIchardson and Krilenko.
Start next year with a bunch of cash and go out and spend it.

So you are trying to get funding for a new arena, just starting to get some of the fan base a little interested and at least coming back to games on the weekend and you would like to pick up garbage and start over again next year....hmmmmmm don't see that happening.

Do you think our team is going to win a championship they way it's built? Cause it's not, don't mind the trades suggested. Makes sense.
Bucks fan since day one. Go Bucks!

Scatt Flowman (Des Moines)
Does Reggie Jackson want to get traded now or does he want to play the rest of the season in OKC and find a new destination in the summer?

Chad Ford (1:22 PM)
If he gets traded now, his Bird Rights go with him and he sign a bigger deal than trying to do so via Restricted Free Agency. So in this case, as long as the team trading for him is offering him a starting job and is willing to pay him this summer -- yeah, he wants to go now. And the Thunder have a much better chance of getting a good asset back in return if they trade him now. So I'd be surprised if he wasn't trade by Thursday. As for destinations? Brooklyn looks like a real possibility. I also think the Bucks could be a really good fit for him (and would allow them to move Brandon Knight off the ball where I think he's better suited). I think the Pacers have a lot of interest as well.

Utah Jazz beat writer Jody Genessy was just on air and talked about how the Jazz/Bucks are talking about Middleton for Kanter.

So, ugh, Steph Curry has been linked to the Bucks.

I like the preemptive freakout this board is having over Middleton being traded since there are literally zero rumors about it.
