Ugh. Far from it. Unless you have a (discounted) mechanic on retainer its a poor bet. Bring My Wallet. I still mock my buddy for getting a 328 and selling it a year later before I ever got to ride in it because he had so many problems.

Also, as a taller person, the 3series is not a midsize car. Its Civic sized. I actually love the 5 series. Got enough space and feels luxurious. Still have the issue of the cost of repairs though.

If I were going to drop that much coin I would only buy a Volvo/BMW/Audi if I had a good mechanic that knows the cars intimitely. And even though I would do so kicking and screaming. I am having troubles with my Volvo S80. Its a huge pain. Parts are far more expensive, no one quite knows how to deal with them, etc. I would MUCH rather do a Avalon XLE Touring or Accord with all the options. Much easier/cheaper cars to work on that hold their value, etc. The cost of ownership is just far less on these cars.

Infiniti Q50

Anyone have any of those? I like mid-size sedans. I may add the Hybrid Ford Fusion to the mix. My buddy has a Chevy Volt that keeps him away from gas stations. I like that idea, too. Anything else I should consider? I read that Acura has a new TLX coming. Don't know when, though.

Update: I thought I had a 36 month lease. It's 39, so new car in Aug/Sept.

I think it's between the Q50 and the Audi A3/S3. Weird, because I don't think they are in the same segment, but I likes what I likes.

Still looking for opinions if you have 'em.

Went with a Lexus IS350 F Sport. People calling it ugly was actually one of the reasons why. :)

I really like this car.

I currently have a slightly modded G37xS coupe. One of the more sexy cars imo with very good handling and decent power.

I am considering slumming it and getting the new 2015 STI and putting 5-10k into it and taking it periodically to the track.

I would do the best I could to make that car look as nice as possible but the bang for the buck on performance is through the roof. Wife is totally against it.

I like cars too, but this is the only car model I drive now. It's a West German made Mk1 Golf 4-speed stick. I've owned five here in Japan: White, blue, black, white again, and now green. It was designed by Italian automobile architect / designer Georgette Giugiaro in 1974.

I know absolutely nothing about cars, but my understanding is that by buying a Lexus that now moves you out of "small time mover and shaker" territory and into the "creepy older accountant hitting on soccer moms at local strip mall coffee shop after school drop off" zone?

SupremeHustle, how about the Toyota 86, developed by Toyota and Subaru? It’s sold by Toyota, Subaru and Scion. Toyota 86 (Asia), Toyota GT86 (Europe), Toyota FT86 (Jamaica), Subaru BRZ (worldwide), Scion FR-S (US and Canada). What color do you like and are planning on ordering?:
