Starting to think the Bucks cover this one comfortably. I might be doubling down emotionally with a sizeable wager.

Possible adjustment: Just go under the ball screens when guarding Dragic and Butler. Dragic is so good going downhill, I'd rather see him shootings 3s off the dribble. Same with Butler.

Miami has played this style defense against Giannis his entire career. Have small guys hacking him on the perimeter, crash into him in the lane, and bet that ensuing chaos will be net favorable. It's high variance, but given how Giannis is called, I think Spo is absolutely making the right bet. It's incredibly frustrating, but it's not new - Stevens plays him the same way, and the Bucks have overcome the Celtics' defense pretty consistently. I'm more concerned about the gameplan on defense all things considered.

Silver was on the Bucks broadcast when they opened Fiserv last year and made this clear. He was talking about the new freedom of movement rules and said fans don't want to see big guys who rely on strength and that the NBA wants to encourage skill based players, and refs will call the game accordingly.

It sucks, but playing the ref game is a big part of the league now. Been saying for awhile that getting a foul baiting guard or two is a big advantage.

Makes sense to prioritize super skilled, weak guys like Jae Crowder over boring plodders like Giannis.

The perception is that Chicago resident Marc Davis always screws us. Whether it's true or not I believe it 8-)

Crud

I would hope for a not terrible whistle for Bucks as NBA would want a longer series in theory

Giannis better add something other than just a spin move.

If Shaq had to play under the Giannis rules, I'm not sure he ever gets a pizza named after him.

The good/interesting - we had a cheerleader, a Seniorgy member, and the Claw (Dr.) in our section. At some point somebody wearing a horse-head joined as well.

The really bad - they only showed half of the screen of the game. So, you couldn't know the full score or see anything that's going on at the top of the key. I feel like I missed out on a lot of the game. Really awful game watching experience. Also, for some reason, all the commercials were pro-Heat, as if I was watching a pirated broadcast of a Heat home game.

Won't do it again. No way.

Can't you just watch it on TV as well?

TV broadcast is delayed compared to what they put on the screen (to make your reactions "live").

Have a bad feeling about this one. This feels like a series that we can’t win without good Bledsoe and that’s hard enough for the Bucks to get in the playoffs even when he’s healthy.

Honestly, it really shouldn't matter if Bledsoe plays. Pat, DDV, George Hill, or whoever shouldn't be having a 34-year old Goran Dragic blow by them like he's prime Dwyane Wade. The best player on the floor needs to will this team to a win at all costs. Let's hope it's Giannis, and not Jimmy Butler this time.

Bledsoe's a year removed from a Defensive 1st team award. Even if he's not quite at that level now he's still the best perimeter guard defender we have. He's also, by far, our best at attacking the hoop outside of Giannis. Him being out is huge.
