Plossum wrote:Beasley is a conundrum. His counting stats look fine: 8/4/1.5 in 25mins a game and shooting just under 40% from three.

But we’re losing badly the minutes when he’s on the court. His net rating is -13.1. Somehow Brook is even worse at -13.8.

It’ll be interesting to see what some of the impact metrics like RAPM say about our guys once they’re out.

You're probably thinking of ESPN's RPM thing which was a boxscore polluted version of RAPM that contains no methodology on how it's calculated. It'll say Beasley sucks regardless, because he does and he's basically a points shaving scheme on his own.

Dick head risking his career with the terminally stupid starting lineup still is quite the feat.

Did enjoy the game though. One day it'll be a trivia thing, "Did you know that hall of famer Andre Jackson jr wasn't even in the Bucks rotation to start his NBA career?"

Don’t need to post anything other than net rating. 19th. Playin level. Teams with bad or mediocre net ratings don’t win championships.

This was discussed a lot last season. Only one team in the past 40 years won a title with a net rating lower then +3, and that was the Rockets who had Hakeem miss time, didn’t acquire Drexler until the deadline then intentionally lost some games at the end of the season for more favorable matchups in the playoffs. They were also defending champs.

Midds had nice shots and isos today but I hope his family doesn't see the replays where Brook had to stand right behind him on D whole possessions leaving his own guy open for 3s like I do at the Y when my 9 year old is on my team covering a 13 year old... that's embarrassing for a former all star /team usa cat

Trying to figure out what Griffin is doing with the rotations. Looking at the last four games and the minutes, it's only ever 1-2 guys playing over 30 minutes, so he's chopping and changing line-ups a lot in game.

AJJ did that same screen again a couple plays later, it got another wide open corner three look and AJJ drew a foul because the defender ran through him.

Then he sat for the rest of the game and Beas was in the closing lineup…

At least AJAX/Dre's minutes are moving up.

Idk if they are trying to prevent him hitting that rookie wall or something, but I'd love to see him getting 20 minutes a game soon. Good things have happened every time he gets minutes. There are obviously going to be growing pains, but the fact that he's already hit a couple jump shots is just the cherry on top of what he's doing on the rest of the court.

MJB with his corner 3's is also a nice positive. I don't like he when he hunts for his shot, thankfully seldom, and usually just only shooting when he's got a nice open look.

Still bizarre to me you can have Dre and MJB make positive impacts and decide to close the game with Beas...

I'm happy with the win, but a part of me is thinking...

That is a **** basketball team and they are in a second half of a b2b on the road....This should have been over at halftime.

Last year's team would have been up by 20pts by halftime and ran it up to 30+pts midway through the 3rd and we'd see Thanos trying to dunk the entire 4th quarter.

This team is still playing well below their capabilities. Even with Dame struggling with his jump shot, this team is sucking beyond him.

I'm not trying to poo poo on this win.

I'm happy Dre is being recognized and his minutes are increasing...I'm happy MJB is contributing to winning basketball. I'm super relieved Bobby is hitting 3s again - it's really important he has the 3 ball in his bag.

I'm happy Giannis looks like an MVP player again.

I'm happy Khris looks like Kash money when he's on the court.

I just have the nervous bucks fan in me tellin me there's problems with this team rn.

Pretty sure he starts out slow every year because he doesn’t stay in basketball shape in the offseason. That’s not a championship point guard mentality in my book.

Still haven’t won a game by double digits, and plenty of games against bottom feeders already.

Drives me nuts because every other team plays their rookies a lot in the regular season. Bud and now AG refuse.

The Beasley thing was weird starting in preseason with AG talking up his defense.

Seemed obvious the move was for him to come off the bench. Malik’s not being set up for success.

That's what I'm thinking. Dame has not played well and still won us a few games. We know this story from having Giannis. I really think the majority of Bucks fans need to chill for another month.

The only real concern right now is our defense and rebounding. Our offense looks fine even with a Giannis just getting his legs back, Dame being at 10% at most and Khris playing with minutes restriction.

We have to make the Giannis small ball lineups work on an elite level and I trust Griffin more than Bud to do so. We know that Giannis +Brook formed one of the best defenses in the last 5 seasons but since both Boston and Miami can easily expose this system blindfolded we have to create something new.

You can't build new systems in just 10 games and with all your all stars handicapped in a way. It takes time and we are still on the process of trying new things. Even our offense is still raw but we have so much talent it's already good enough for the regular season. It's 11-14-2023. Soon things will start clicking and we will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ok he’s a slow starter but he’s currently a super max player shooting 37 percent and 27 percent from the field while being a turnstile on defense. It’s ok to be disappointed as he’s been awful for the most part this season. He needs to score an efficient 25-30 to justify the trade and his defense.
