Really, how long until they just completely scrap B2Bs?

As Marty and others have pointed out, it would be so easy to do it!

Mark Williams is going to have 20 offensive rebounds.

Can anyone pinpoint why our rebounding has been so bad this year? I can see some lack of boxing out and just general lack of effort. Also I feel like we have lost at least 1-2 balls that someone just loses and it immediately lands with our opponent for an easy 3 or dunk. I don’t understand what schematically we our doing to cause this

I pointed out the other day (you mean you don't bookmark Big O comments?) what I think are a couple big reasons:

1) Having all their defenders pick up their man much higher and then being much more aggressive and closer to their man than Bud would ever do. It allows the opposition to get by their man much easier AND, more importantly, it makes it much more difficult for other players to get back and play help defense.

2) In particular, Brook and Giannis are playing much further out on the court (Lopez less so in the last few games) and thus not in position to rebound.

Bud played a super passive defense that emphasized rebounding, limiting paint points and getting back on defense. Griffin doesn't emphasize any of this. He wants to force the opposition into turnovers (not happening) and making decisions while being hounded.

A lot of players on the team are ball watchers when the shot goes up. Giannis, Khris and Beasley are big offenders. They don't move after the shot until it comes off the rim.

Absolutely vile that Bridges gets the privilege of playing in the NBA again. If I'm a hornets fan I'm finding a new team.

I think it's because everybody's always in rotation so the assignments are never clear. Anytime Brook helps, his man gets an easy putback it seems like.

Maybe it’s just me, but there’s a ton of reasons to watch each game: at least one of Dame or GA have played every game and they do incredible things when they play, the 15 or so minutes AJJ is out there are electric, Marjon has been showing great progress, Midds is still vintage during his limited minutes, Bobby still does Bobby things, it’s truly unique to see how bad Beas is as an on ball defender, and you never know what you’re going to get strategically from AG (both high school level awful systems and excellent nba concepts).

I should correct it and say I've not seen a full game since the opener. I've caught quarters or halves and obviously have watched plenty of highlights (or lowlights in some instances). It's not an anti-Bucks thing, it's more like early season NBA doldrums.

Giannis is now probable so he likely sits tomorrow night. Middleton not listed so he'll probably sit out tomorrow too. :x

He just did that short-term with an early extension.

Because he could make more long term on his next deal due to the under 38 rule. Giannis is about winning and his bread.

Sorry I didn't bookmark.... :D

Yeah I have definitely noticed Giannis playing out on the floor a lot more than in the past. That's probably a necessity at times now with the roster. However everyone, Giannis included, needs a healthy dose of box out practice. We need to try the Izzo scrimmage where they go up and down, but they put a contraption on the rim so you can't make a basket. Force our guys to rebound again. Of course that exercise would have probably been better suited for training camp.

Silver probably suspends TA for loss of revenue from Bridges

Every time Bridges gets on the floor, we should send Thanasty to him to guard him one-on-one. His job isn't completed until he's committed a flagrant 2 on Bridges in some way, shape, or form.

Best chance to win both games is for Middleton to sit tonight and play tomorrow night. And if Giannis isn't going B2B he should do the same. He's playing tonight though apparently.

Bucks probably got a call from the league and they'll both sit Saturday instead.

I figured Giannis would play tonight over tomorrow because it's a tournament game. If he's not playing in both games. There is no $500.000 bonus on the line for beating Dallas tomorrow.

Even for an NBA player with Giannis' salary, 500G's is a pretty damn big bonus for what is essentially winning a couple regular season games. Plus Giannis seems like the type to want to win it for his teammates so they can get the extra cash too.

I get the money angle. But money is important to fans too. Punting a Saturday night game against a good team with a premier player is grade A b.s.

Maybe they'll surprise me, Giannis plays both and Middleton plays tomorrow.

Preach. My budget is lower bowl seats and a hotel for one game a year. Last year my one game was vs the Pacers, and Giannis, Middleton, Halliburton all sat. Still a good game, but I paid Giannis prices for the tickets and a game with no stars should have been cheap like back in the Bogut/Redd days.

I'll admit I didn't consider back-to-backs when picking a game this year and maybe that's on me. I just thought "Giannis vs Luka should be awesome and it's early in the season so injury risk is lower." I guess if I get burned again, I'll go with TNT/ESPN games only in the future?

National games and tourney games seems to be the way to go. Dallas game is NBATV but that apparently doesn't count.
