My official, completely serious prediction: we go up by 15-20 fairly early and they pull their starters while we cruise to a blowout.

I think this will happen because it would make no sense and because no one is actually predicting it (with good reason). Whenever there's a consensus that we're going to get creamed I get a weird feeling we won't and vice-versa.

Look forward to dominating the 2nd half, so we can lose by 20 instead of 40.

No, of course not, but "I'm on to better things" is kind of tone-deaf and dumped-girlfriend needy. The Official Guide to Innocuous Athlete Comments, 3rd ed., recommends "I enjoyed my time there and was happy to win a championship, but I'm a Celtic now and look forward to competing against the Bucks."

I also feel like the locker room culture is coming unglued and don't know if firing the coach will necessarily salvage that anyway.

People don't quit their job, they quit their boss.

Once you realize your boss is incompetent and won't accept feedback, you check out.

That is where the Bucks are right now.

Might be the best analogy yet.

It's weird. Dude basically said "I believe we can win the game," and people pretending he said something that we should care about?

And he (and by extension, their whole team) should feel that way. They’ve had our number even before our issues this year and they’ve collectively taken that team to a different level thus far. Any Celtic player watching film on us should feel confident.

That makes no sense, unless Boston have half their team out.

They are on a b2b and played an overtime game.

They might rest everyone.

Wouldn't it be sad if they did that and still beat us by double digits? For those who think we actually have a chance at firing Griff this year, that is what you should be hoping for.

I'm guessing we're getting Harlan (good) and Reggie (ugh).

We don't know hot Grief's seat is but again it's January let's lose these next 3 and find out instead of securing this terrible coaching for the rest of the year.

Because **** the Celtics

The Celtics know we kind of suck, so they won’t play as hard as they usually would. I think we catch them by surprise and win somehow. This will in turn lead to Griff keeping his job, even though it will be just a fluke win.

I don't have a good feeling about this game. I could see the Bucks getting stomped and we continue our meltdown over Griff still not being fired.

And some of us actually still spend good money to go to a game in a blizzard. Like it cool for those of you who can just ignore this while sitting at home having a beer while watching Netflix, but some of us still want to watch peak Giannis live playing competitive basketball while we still can.

Anyone ever get a drink at that weird Weiner Window stand at the Trade? It looks like just a grab and go hot dog place but they always have a sign for $5 drinks (Spotted cow/jack&coke) but never walked in. I have to assume they have an inside area since they aren't going to hand me a cocktail through a window on a public street? Its close to the arena so wouldn't mind a quiet, cheap drink before going in.

Nah.

Yeah that would be a major unforced error in terms of league-wide perception

Jrue repped Milwaukee to the fullest and is responsible for the greatest play in franchise history.

Video tribute is in order.

My prediction is malaise, scoreboard be damned.

“I think Milwaukee is such a special place,” Lauren said. “I feel like we were there for a reason, not only to give back to that community but for them to pour into us. It truly feels like home when we’re there. Our kids, the team, the organization, everyone feels like family like that. And then to have our grantees there too has just been a bonus. So I feel like really being in Milwaukee – when my friend said, hey, you’re there for a reason – it was also for us, too. And that’s been really cool.”

Jrue agreed.

“I think just kind of the feeling we get when we think about Milwaukee, how when we first went – didn’t really know what to expect,” he said. “And then at this point knowing that like, it’s a place that will always be dear and near to our hearts, is a good feeling.”

Yeah, no need for any Jrue animus in this one.
