Agree in some ways, in others no. Just a guy? Probably. A guy who I think still has show recently that his particular set of skills can impact games? Yeah, kinda. Do I think he's a point guard? No. Do I think he's a point of attack defender? No. The last two seasons he's been a guy who creates defensive disruption at a pretty high level though. Using over 500 minutes played to cut down some fluff, per 48 Delon the last two seasons was at 5.2 and 6.4 deflections, good for 13th last season and 3rd the year before. Through 4 games in Milwaukee he's at 2 a game/48.

I think we hoped we'd get just a slight bit more from them than we have. They looked good in the opener against Philly's G-League team. But since then not much.

The creative move is to trade Giannis for an absolute monster return of prospects, picks, and win now pieces that lets you rebuild on the fly before he either gets hurt, or everyone else figures out that Giannis is not who Giannis used to be.

Giannis is the franchise. He's put the team and city on the map. And been loyal to the point of taking less lucrative contracts to stay here. I don't entertain trades for him, unless he determines he wants to move on. He's our Dirk and would like him to retire a Buck.

Now, the other guys on the roster....the coach...the GM......trade/fire away.

Khris has made $778,000 per game played the past two years and it keeps rising. Thats more than the majority of superstars let alone guys who are “3rd” stars on their team. That’s a problem when you play in a league with a salary cap and penalties for going over it.

The contract Khris has isn’t stopping us from anything. It was a very fair deal when signed. The problem is we got nostalgic (and maybe bound by Giannis) from dealing him two years ago.

Gianni’s has made 639,000 per game played over the same period of time. Khris being unavailable is a major problem no matter how friendly his deal was. He makes damn near $150,000 more than Gianni’s per game actually played the past 2 plus years

The guys on the Ricky Sanchez pod (Sixers) hate Doc with the power of one thousand suns. They call him lazy, incompetent and a big phony. I tried for the past year to rationalize that Spike and Mike’s thoughts were way over the top.

They weren’t.

at any point between 2019 and summer of 2023 you said that we should fire bud and hire doc, everyone on this board would've lost their mind. the only reason we were ok with it is because AG was so bad. it was optically practical at the time, but I think we all knew at the time we were better off running with Prunty and seeing who was available in the offseason
