We just smacked Indiana on March 15th, starting Prince and Kuzma, but using a switching defense. Kuzma was awful in that game, we got smacked in Dame's minutes, and still entered the 4th quarter with an 18 point lead. We switched 1-5 (yes even Brook), and it worked wonderfully.

Why is the world we abandoned that defensive scheme for game 1 is something I'll never understand.

I know they did a bit of the switch everything defense in the 2nd half last game, so hopefully they'll go to it more. Also listened to some Indiana interviews and a full podcast, and they seem to expect the Bucks to do a lot more zone using a smaller lineup. Carlisle sounds like he has them prepared for all options, so we'll see.

That, and he said he wants Kuzma bringing the ball up more. Cool.

Changes:

1. This isn't a Brook series.. Turner can't be left. If we play Brook, he should be in the post drawing fouls on them
2. Giannis playing PG and dribbling though a bunch of aggressive midgets is stupid as fck... he has proven he can get his points and assists catching deeper in so do that
3. If Giannis/Dame and KPJ shoot 90% of our shots that's fine with me -- that's our top 3.. Green/GTJ/Kuz should shoot when wide open or give it back to a top 3 guy and screen.

Giannis with one assist is a guaranteed loss, no matter how much he scores. We have to play more like we have been during the 8 game win streak. Giannis moving the ball makes everyone better.

Also, please less Kuz and TP. For the love of god, please let us see less of them on the floor.

I mean Giannis was passing to open and wide open players almost all night and they were bricking everything... Again.
At some point they were so much in their heads, they were actually passing up wide open shots for way worse ones. If you move the ball but the team is shooting 12% from three, there's not a lot of things you can do....

We had 10 players playing at least 10 minutes in last match. Do you know how many shot at least 50%? Giannis, Lopez and GTJr. That's it. Just 3 players.
We need to be better going forward. As for Giannis, his biggest blemish was his free throws, but they fouled him like 11 times (that were called) and he was gassed. Hell, even Jokic last game shot 60% from the ft line due to how tired he was. It's gonna happen again, if they see that all of our other players are bricking everything.

Really hope some of our players can step up.

Doc can’t be that stupid. At least I hope so. My guess is that he loves his KPJ/GTJ/Green/Bobby bench and doesn’t want to mess with it. I’m OK with that.

Is Doc a bit smart? It’s quite obvious that it’s not Rollins the player to remove from the starting lineup for Lillard. Rollins has been an efficient low volume shooter and adequate defender which along with his secondary play making skills makes him a perfect candidate for our starting SG spot. Have I told you how much he reminds me of Brogdon?

Prince should be cut from the rotation or if Doc goes again 10 deep he can have Sims’ minutes. No need to do that though with Dame playing heavy minutes.

Giannis is our best PG and Green is our best shooter.

Zach Zarba is the crew chief tonight. He's usually pretty good.

The league would probably love if every series went 7, so I bet we've got a pretty good shot tonight.

Pistons and Clippers both responded with game 2 wins on the road, I’ll be not just disappointed, but honestly devastated if we fall short tonight. No excuses at all allowed. We got the stinker out of the way, everyone dipped their toes in the cold water and now it’s time to make our move. Dame or no Dame we should win this game, I won’t accept anything less. Bucks in 6.
RIP Kobe Forever. GOAT 8-24. Long Live Giannis

Hopefully that means he's getting steals or rebounds and pushing a fast break... it doesn't.

Wait, apparently the team went back to Milwaukee to rest at their homes and train in their facilities before traveling again back to Indianapolis?
What the hell?
How did I just find that out?

Apparently it was done in an effort to "reset" our minds and efforts and move on from last game's bad juju...
Really hope it helped some of them, even a little.

I'm afraid the "game plan" will be to get Kuzma a lot of shots early to "get him going" and we'll dig yet another hole.

I'm calling it tonight we win by 10+. Just feels like we're going to come out hungry after being embarrassed in game 1. I said it before, Dame getting 25 points will be the difference maker. It will give the other guys more open shots.

But someone mentioned Brook can't play and I agree. He needs to be extremely limited and he can't be dropping on Turner screens. Turner too good at threes. If we can clean it up and actually make some shots we got this. I also expect Hali to have a better shooting night.

Oh, we’re absolutely going to get him designed looks.

He’ll start the game off by bricking a 3, and then we’ll get him curling around screens getting downhill.

I wanna be Team Optimist but I honestly can't recall if I've ever had this little faith in a Giannis led playoff squad. Have to go all the way back to that 2017 Raptors series but really, I still felt more confident going into Game 6 of that one than I do right now. If Dame comes back and looks like vintage playoff Dame Time then that obviously changes the calculus. Prove me wrong Doc.
