100%.

We were warned. I hated the hire but thought removing Grief would be addition by subtraction regardless of who replaced him.

Turns out, Doc is quite possibly worse. It's a different flavor of bad, but it is foul.

It’s his way or the highway yet he doesn’t really care about the outcome. Griffin would’ve allowed the players to figure it out at least, good chance that would’ve worked out better.

Does anyone else feel that Giannis is going to go nuclear tonight?

Please Doc I can settle with this..

Lillard (36)/Porter (12)
Green (20)/Trent (20)/Porter (8)
Kuzma (28)/Prince (20)
Giannis (40)/Bobby (8)
Brook (20)/Bobby (20)/Sims (8)

Just don’t start Prince at SG..

Marc Davis is the crew chief tonight
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

They figured out how to attack us in zone too and that was the only time Brook wasn't a disaster. He can't play at all, really.

Lowe talked about this, he said just leave Turner open on the pick and pop. If he beats you taking 12 3pa then so be it. Go under on Nembhard as well. And why aren't we mixing in some blitz/trap action. I swear this is the dumbest coaching lineup of all time.

One hundred percent. Giannis usually plays focused or angry. It’s going to be scary to see him in both modes.

Some of my WTHD (What the hell, Doc) thoughts heading into game 3:

Lillard and Green only played 1 minute together in game 2.

Taurean Prince and Kyle Kuzma have a -27.8 net rtg in their 38 minutes together.

Every minute of Lopez' time on the court thus far has been saddled with Kuzma and Prince as well (except for 1 minute).

The only way Doc could play a slower 5-some than what he started in game 2 would be to replace Dame with Gallinari like he did last playoffs.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

I really really can’t understand what Doc thinks us leaning into size and length is giving us.

Are we backing off and forcing them to shoot over the top of our size? No

Are we completely taking away the rim when they get inside? No

Are we clogging up passing lanes with our length? No

Our we dominating the board on both ends of the court?

If our size presented an advantage in any conceivable area, I’d be okay with doing some of that, but it doesn’t and hasn’t done anything that big lineups would do well. We have all the bad traits of big lineups without any of the positive.

Kuzma just played 31 minutes, Prince has played 20 and 19 minutes in Indiana, Brook played 21 and 16 (almost all of them in the disastrous lineup with Prince/Kuzma).

Yes, like I said, you'd be playing them more than they've played so far, appreciate you supplying the numbers.

Agreed, but let's try that with Bobby and Sims.

I'd rather just pull Brook off the floor. Brook is too slow to trap or blitz the PnR. They'll dribble around him or pass before he can apply any pressure and we'll be chasing... again.

Playing Prince at SF would be a big improvement in our defense alone I think.

It wouldn’t.

Look at who he’d be matching up with. I think your statement could hold in the aggregate for the regular season, but in the playoffs we have to look at the individual cases.

Indy basically has 3 guards on the court at all times with a decided quickness advantage against Prince, and that’s before the idea of Indy searching for him defensively to exploit his lack of quickness in even worse matchups.

Meh, they play Nesmith a ton (with Siakam and Turner) who is far from some quick guard.

He’s a hell of a lot quicker than Prince, and really I look at nesmith as a guard. He’s 6’6” with non-exceptional length and a slight frame, and he doesn’t have the play style of a bigger player.

He’s more limited off the bounce than his counterparts, but I just don’t think that will all of a sudden mean a lot for Prince’s utility.

Couple whispers from a conversation I had last night with someone in the know:

1) The starting five will look different for game 3.
2) Doc most likely isn't going anywhere, sweep or not.

Bucks in 6

2) what the ****.

How does Bud get fired after one first round exit, or is about to be fired in 2021 if they lose in the 2nd round again, but Doc would get to hold onto his job even after consecutive first round exits.

Boggles the mind.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
