The Carolina Mudcats are loaded but they're the youngest team in the youngest level of minor league baseball.

They'll all be legit vets on the Brewers by the time this Bucks team has any hope of doing something.

When Giannis won his first MVP at age 24. I thought the Bucks would be clowning the league when Giannis was around 30 and at the peak of his prime.

The Bucks really screwed this up.

Again, I would like to see the math behind this. the bucks lost $14m last year and probably will lose money this year. Someone can do the actually break down, but I got to imagine the difference between trading Giannis and relieving salary over the next two years versus trying to compete with Giannis has to be $100-150m a year when factoring in salary, tax penalty and tax distribution to non tax payers. Like $100m is probably their max ticket sales for a year ($150*41*17,000). You can't 'tickets and jerseys' your way to nine figures.

Khris Middleton averaged 25/9/5 on 48/35/90 against this same team 12 months ago.

We traded him and our 1st round pick for Kyle Kuzma.

Then, we extended the GM who made that trade.

Still would’ve been better off banking on him being healthy rather than this abomination of a trade.

But at least we got under the second apron. If you’re gonna suck, may as well minimise the tax.

Khris immediately got hurt again in Washington. He was never going to get healthy. He didn’t play a single game over 30 minutes this season.

If we kept Khris AND Dame tore his Achilles we’d be in an even worse situation than we are now. We’d have 89 million dollars tied up to two guys who literally cannot play basketball next season and we wouldn’t have the means to do anything in free agency.

-Why Lasry got out. he explicitly said on podcasts he wasn't going to support a non profitable team
-talked to a couple different people connected with the organization that there has been multiple capital calls.

I don't think people realize how much money we are shelling out in salaries and tax. it's insane. 1/4 billion dollars.

....and if you are going to go the route of "but they make it up in the team valuation"
1. the teams valuation already has Giannis factored in and that is only for 2-5 more years
2. the spike was a one-time thing for tv contracts. you aren't going continue to see valuation jumps. herb could've put his money in the s&p 500 for a 1/4 of a decade and made money than he did with the Bucks.

Like, if the team loses against the Pacers with Dame playing like a turd, you can squint and hope that firing Doc and trading Dame can maybe fix some of your issues and make you more competitive. But that wasn't enough for Satan, so of course he had to take Dame's Achilles and rob any possible avenue for improvement as well. Could not script a worse series short of a plane crash.
