Honestly, who gives a flying f about effort? Nobody, unless your tolerance for acceptance is New York Knick low.

W-L is all that matters.

The bottom line is this: if you're happy with the core of this team, and how this organization is run, then pray we win 35 games (won't happen but pray anyway) and get swept in the playoffs. Then we can have Kohl rationalize that this team can get there, and maybe we bring back all these same guys next year.

If you want change, hope we lose, a lot.

But effort, bah. No one cares. W-L is all that matters in sports. Moral victories are for little league.

I remember about a year ago when I said all that I wanted from the Bucks was effort, because that is all you can ask from them.

I am starting to have the same feeling. Who cares if they play hard if they constantly lose?

I know this because I just IMed one of my Australian friends and asked them if 'average' and 'bad' have the same meaning in your country... And they said no.

Apparently your language is very similar to ours after all.

Either that or maybe you live in some special part of Australia where average and bad mean the same thing?

 Oh! Well I just spoke to MY friend and he asked me how Bogut played and I said 'average' to which he replied 'damn, lets hope he plays better'.

There are many differences. Such as the way we pronounce tomato, the way we spell organisation and arse, and how we react when someone asks for a rubber. I could go on forever. I hope (doubt) you've learnt something.

Redd had a good first 3, and made just a horrible decision on that final play. He showed both the exact reason some people want to keep him and the exact reason most want to trade him in the space of 20 minutes.

Bogut was quiet, didn't receive the ball a lot and missed a few good looks when he did. Disappointing game overall, gave a few nice assists but that was about it.

Just how much of an indictment on Yi's defense is it that Bogut spent at least half the game purposfully guarding West, and Yi went to Chandler? This wasn't switching, they actually matched Bogut up on West, and to be honest he did a pretty good job. Those who have been praising Yi's defensive ability need to look again.

I think that injury must be bothering Bogut, Danny G played virtually the entire second quarter until he screwed up a couple of plays in a row and LK had to take him out with like 2 minutes to play.

Mo was kinda absent tonight. Actually had a kinda similar game to Bogut, although got a bit more done on offense, but both were reasonably subdued on offense and played good D. Had a ton of assists though - many more than i thought he did. What I will say for Mo tonight is that it was his best defensive effort of the season, let's hope there's more of it.

I'm wondering if the alleged incident had a bit of an effect on both Bogut and Mo tonight.

Yi had his best offensive game for a while, but all it really was was open looks and FT's again.

I thought Bobby looked good tonight, and Des was good early.

EDITED to say it was a really solid effort by the bucks i thought. I'm not down on the effort, had we have played like that either of the previous 2 games we would have won them both.

nothing about moral victories, it's just rilamann blatantly ripping on mo's defense on a night in which he was probably the best defender on the team guarding a top 10 nba player.

all i care about is that i was having a great time watching a great game win or lose, until redd just decided he had had enough of the team game and took one of the worst shots i've ever seen. that ruined the whole thing for me

If the team constantly played hard, that would be one thing. But to point out one game of 51 where they actually play hard, yet still lose, that's just baffling.

This is a horrible team. HORRIBLE. One of the worst NBA teams in the 2000's. I want them disbanded. NOW!!

I care about wins. Yes, I watch sports for entertainment, but I also have an emotional attachment to the teams. I care when they lose. I care when management is incompetent.

Whatever gives us the best probability of breaking this POS "team" up and winning the quickest in the future, that is what I want. That means losing a lot, right now.

I would hope Bogut would play better than average, he was the first pick in the draft.

I haven't learned anything. I prefer to actually understand things.

In America when you take the average of a 10 point game and a 20 point then you average 15 points per game.

I guess since average means bad (or below average in Australia) then he averages like 12 or 13 over there? Is your calculation of an average different than it is over here?

What do you guys say when you talk about points per game over there?

"Hey guys, if you add up all of Bogut's points and divide them by the number of games he has played, then he... Umm... gets X amount of points per game?"

i'd rather watch the bucks lose playing like they did in the first 3 quarters tonight than watch redd go off for 50 and win with no ball movement or team play

it's just more fun for me

Can we blow this up already?
Find some takers for mo and/or redd and send CV, Gadz, and simmons with them!
....

As for the game, pretty decent for the first three quarters. Mo and Redd were doing their thang (hoisting jumpers and dribbling around).

As someone stated before, its always great to see Redd play a solid game and then go into hero mode in the 4th quarter jacking up shot after shot.

I really need this team broken up soon

Yup. He played so well for so long and then he made a decision at the end that just has you shaking your head (or worse). Just a truly terrible shot at the end.

And I'm with the Lukes, I could care less about effort at this point. Screw that. Just put together a team that can win.
Nothing will not break me.

Bogut said the guys just need to just get away for the break. That it'd be the best for the team. Said after that the guys'll be happy to see each other again.

Said he's going to rest his hip, and looking back at it, it was probably a bad idea to play through it the last couple games.

I want wins. Consistent wins. Wins are much more fun to watch than losses regardless of how they come. Why? Because wins = playoffs and playoffs are the ultimate of sports.

I know this core will never even crack .500, so I want them disbanded. Disbanded means they have to suck something fierce now and I'm more than willing to have that happen as a fan.

honestly, wtf do you want? (not just you, the general "you")

we came one very boneheaded redd shot away from beating one of the top teams in the league

you don't think that with the team playing like they did for most of that game, they could win some games?

and if not, why not?

It sure seems simple enough. Unfortunately it seems like Kohl thinks $$$ can come first before anything.
