He also said there was a chance that the guy they wanted at 12 could be gone by 14, but not a big chance, more like a small chance.

Ross?

And that they think they can and will re-sign Ersan, which I thought was interesting.

"From Milwaukee's end, it's hard to argue with this one. Despite moving down in the draft, one can argue this trade will result in a better player. The Bucks felt tremendous pressure to reach for a center like Meyers Leonard or Tyler Zeller at No. 12, but now that they have one, they can go back to a "best player available" mentality.

Hollinger plucking info straight from the RealGM Bucks forum after he found out about the deal. C'mon, John, how do you feel about the trade? :D

Portland will take hometown kid Terrance Ross with the pick at 11. They may feel that he'll be better than both Monta and Matthews. No real incentive for them to deal for Monta. The Bucks may have realized that both Lamb (10) and Ross (11) will be gone so leaving pick 12 for 14 makes even more sense.

Watch that guy be gone and we have to choose between Zeller and Leonard. :D

I saw today that gsw was lookin at Wilson chandler for 7. If they think Chandler is good value for 7 by himself. Maybe Luc is enough value to fetch 7 by himself. Maybe Hammond is holding out hope that gsw becomes desperate to move out of 7 and we can just send out Luc and end up with 7 and 14. Drummond and Ross would be an outstanding haul. Bring back Ersan and bury Gooden until he's an expiring. Have Daly groom sanders and Drummond to become elite defenders and use Ross in the Ginobili/Harden 6th man instant offense role. Probably a pipe dream but a plausible one at that.

On its own this is a good trade by the Bucks. If I were sick of the Bucks trying to rebuild year after year and wanted them to acquire some veterans so they could win a few games for a change, I would be thrilled with this move. By I'm disappointed in it simply because it signals more of the same old same old by the Bucks. Still holding out hope that something more exciting happens, but not holding my breath.

If Lamb, Ross, and Waiters, are gone....Terrence Jones or trade down again! Someone will come up for Leonard(if there), P Jones, or Harkless.

Wouldn't be shocked at all, if they value Leonard, like I do and they liked him at 12 would make sense to draft him at 14 and groom him for a year. A sleeper guy for the Bucks could Moe Harkless, johnny has said several times he really wants an athletic wing who can dunk and excite the crowd.

If Portland goes with Lillard at 6, a big will be the pick at 11, guaranteed. It's either Drummond/Ross or Lillard/Zeller IMO.

Portland is VERY high on Ross but also is very high on Henson. JH has to have certainties than Ross is going to be there at 14 to do this. He pretty much has been the guy (in our range) since the jump.

Theyre looking for a top 15 pick for Chandler.

Wilson Chandler would just be another overpaid mediocre player.

Maybe we get some wow factor tomorrow night. Still hope.

I don't buy the Chad Ford bit about Wilson Chandler being worth the 7th pick. But hey, if the Kings, Warriors or Raps want to trade out of their top ten pick, we need to be actively inquiring.

Draft Drummond at 7, draft Ross/Lamb at 14.

Brandon Jennings
Terrence Ross
Tobias Harris
Luc Richard Mbah A Moute
Drummond

is a lineup I would really be excited to watch. Plus Sanders and Udoh off the bench. Plus we would be a lottery team next season and have another high draft pick maybe.

I would be surprised if the Bucks have any interest in Sullinger.

No way in hell Portland takes Zeller. Ross will be the pick at 11 unless he's gone. The decision will be Drummond or Lillard at 6.

I HOPE Ross is there, but I don't think he makes it past Portland....and I believe the Bucks knew that.
