So, uh, Tetris Battle Royale is pretty freaking great.

Playing custom levels from others could be fun, too, I guess.

Yeah, not for everyone. It's Little Big Planet x Mario. I think a big part of the fun is creating your own content, so if that doesn't appeal to you - while there's still a load of user created content out there - you're missing a key part of the experience and it might be better off sticking with NSMBD.

That said, my hope is that SMM2 will come with an actual campaign maker so that you can string levels together. Fingers crossed.

People are still making levels for the original to this day and you only occasionally run into levels you've played before when doing 100 lives. The amount of replayability has blown me away.

Anyone on switch looking to get into final fantasy, 9 is probably the 2nd best game in the series.

I’ve been trying to figure out which of the four known ports (VII, IX, X/X-2, and XII) would be best. I’ve heard of those four, XII aged the best.

I’d say X or XII would be your best bet to get into it. I personally rank them VI, IX, XII, X, VII, X-2, VIII. There’s a big graphical difference between IX and X.

I couldn't get into 9 when I was a kid - I was 14 when it came out. I never went back to it, but I think I would have a better appreciation for it now and plan to give it a go at some point. Just not high on my list with everything else I have to play.

I haven't played 10 since around when it came out, but I loved it. I'd love to revisit it and play X-2 (for the first time) in the remaster. Will wait for the Switch version.

I also really want to play the 12 remake. I think the additions they've made would make it even more replayable. Lots of people didn't like 12, and I don't know why. I have replayed the original numerous times and think it's one of the best in the series. Balthier is one of the best characters in the series IMO.

I love 7 and it's one of my favorites of all time. I'm sure I'll get it for Switch eventually, as I always buy it when it comes out somewhere new, but it's low on my list right now just because I've played it so many damn times before.

My gut says, if you'e looking to try the series for the first time, to try 9 or 10 first. If you start with 12 I feel like it might be harder to go back to 9 or 10; without nostalgia of the game or even the series, it may be harder to go back to them after experiencing the additions made to 12.

I can't believe they left VIII off the list. One of the best soundtracks ever, great story (great twist in it), and a killer card game. Yeah it was a bit weird and different (the draw system....) from others but it was great nonetheless.

I loved 8. I wish there was a good way to play it now without ROMs.

X-2 is pretty underrated in my opinion. I just beat 9 on my phone like last month and i thought it was even better than when I first played it.

10’s the big nostalgia one for me. I never know if my love for that game is because it’s a good game or I just get smacked in the feels. The voice acting is **** cringy though. I despise it.

I’m surprised by the VIII love. I couldn’t stand Squall. Him and cloud were two to the lamest lead characters in FF.

I just beat X for the first time recently and I've got to say, the combat gets hella repetitive towards the end. The story is great and I love Blitzball and the whole island theme thing, though.

No love for V? The job system is pretty genius. Exdeath is a sweet villain.

I'm a big FF Tactics guy, too.

If I had to rank them I'd probably go

VI
VII
V
IX
VIII

But I should play VIII again, especially with all the love I'm seeing for it here.

Weirdly enough, FF is one of the few series I’ve never played a single game of. I think I’m gonna hop in soon haha you guys sold me that it’s time

Tactics is great. I was going for mostly the ones that have remakes available that why I left off the classic ones. Have you played X-2 by chance?

For those of you looking for the MMO itch, XIV is also a pretty great game. The base game take a little while to warm up to, but the later expansions tighten the experience and storytelling.

My Big Two are Tactics and Castlevania: SOTN, with Borderlands 2 sometimes making it a big three. I've never given Tactics II a shot because of what looked like terrible gameplay changes and a big shift from the mature (INCREDIBLE) story of the first.
